Did you know?    According to the OECD - OCDE's latest Education at a Glance report, 1,4 million young people in #Spain have no professional qualifications. Fundación Exit is working to change this and create pathways to meaningful employment through ‘Programme Coach’ which we're very proud to support through our #MilewayActs volunteering programme.  Over the past three months we hosted three bright and resilient young students who, despite facing challenges that prevented them from completing their basic schooling, are now determined to pursue their education and build a bright future. Through a variety of special sessions ranging from introducing them to #Mileway, helping them discover their interests and ambitions, CV workshops and career guidance (special thanks to our recruitment manager, Lucia Garmendia) and a site visit to one of our key logistics real estate assets in Montornès del Vallès, our goal was simple: To show how education opens doors - including into the dynamic world of last mile real estate (although we are slightly biased!). It has been our privilege to support them on this journey - we hope they dream big!  Our passionate #TeamMileway volunteers include: Guillermo Ravell, Maryana Bozhak, David Alamillo Bravo, Rubi Rodriguez Ceballos, Jorge L. Ibáñez Paz, Pablo Morillo Tort and Eduardo Almazor Saltor.

This festive season across Germany, #TeamMileway is giving back to our local communities through our #MilewayActs volunteering programme.   At the AWO Bundesverband e.V. shelter for people experiencing homelessness, we helped to paint and decorate. At the Tafel Deutschland e.V. in Stuttgart and Hannover, we distributed food and sorted supplies for those in need. In partnership with Diakonie Düsseldorf we baked cookies with children at a daycare, bringing plenty of smiles all around. And who doesn't love cookie dough?   A big #Mileway thank you and vielen Dank to our partners for making it all possible, and for being such a force for good. “We're thrilled to donate warehouse space to Cash for Kids to support their #MissionChristmas programme to spread happiness and joy this festive season,” said Andrew Jones MRICS, Mileway Managing Director UK & Ireland. The UK charity provides gifts to children in need across Greater Manchester, using the #Mileway warehouse space until the end of January 2025 to receive donations and distribute over 100,000 gifts to more than 30,000 children in the region. The charity will be supported by volunteers, including #TeamMileway as part of our #MilewayActs volunteering programme.
