We had the chance to celebrate another fantastic year together at our Christmas party, reflecting on the incredible hard work and achievements of our team. The day began at Somerset House, where we explored the vibrant Making a Ruckus! exhibition. From there, we strolled along the Southbank to Corner at the Tate Modern, one of our studio’s proud projects, to continue the celebrations. The festivities wrapped up at The Garrison with a delicious meal and some lively fun playing Dirty Santa. To round of the year, we then held our annual raffle to raise funds for Hackney Foodbank, helping them continue their vital work and to support our local community. This year, the team raised £280, which Holland Harvey matched, resulting in a total donation of £560. Thank you for being part of our journey this year, the Holland Harvey Team wishes everyone a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

We’re excited to attend the Architects’ Journal Architecture Awards this evening, where we are proud to have our recent project, Corner at Tate Modern, nominated in the Leisure category. It's great to see social impact celebrated on such a grand stage! We thank our amazing team and collaborators who made the project possible. There is some stiff competition, so best of luck to all the nominees, and we look forward to celebrating the best of British architecture with you. We’re thrilled to unveil our new website and branding designed by BOB Design Ltd Our studio makes mixed-use place and multi-project places that craft connections between varied communities and purposes. The new identity seeks to celebrate the practice's values in a language that finds bonds between its visual parts. The monograph and its behaviour use contrasting stroke weights to suggest communal ties and linking elements, echoing the new house font, a customised version of Basel by Optimo Foundry. New brand colours are inspired by the organic tones found in our projects and drawn from paper stock made from fruit, coffee, and other organic by-products—materials that often feature in the spaces we design. Finally, a new website brings all these elements together to tell the stories behind the projects, a move to help communicate the deep narratives behind our work and our commitment to positive social and environmental impact. https://lnkd.in/eGPyFZJR We hope you like it! We’re excited to share that Corner at Tate Modern has been shortlisted for the Architects’ Journal Architecture Awards 2024 in the Leisure category! This dynamic space transforms from a bustling café and social hub by day to an intimate candlelit bar and restaurant by night. Its versatility was beautifully showcased during the recent Paired London event featuring Gilles Peterson and Yoji Tokuyoshi, where art, music, and food brought people together in a vibrant celebration of culture. Did you know that the Mallow flower can be eaten to soothe a sore throat? Neither did we until we had an amazing day out with the social enterprise Hackney Herbal for our summer party. This year we wanted to find an activity that benefitted our mental wellbeing, was educational, and in some way had a larger community-based impact. Natalie and Camila educated the team on the biodiversity of the local Malby Green and introduced us to a range of wildflowers, teaching us about their medicinal properties and how this form of medicine has been used for centuries before evolving into the western medicine we know today. As a social enterprise, the revenue from their paid workshops and events like this help fund free community initiatives that focus on improving mental health. Find out more about their work and social impact here: https://lnkd.in/eWykW-et We finished the day enjoying fantastic Meze plates by the canal at Grow, Hackney, a community focused creative hub that is experimenting with how to break down financial barriers, nurture local talent, and reduce their environmental impact. #summeractivity #mentalwellbeing #socialenterprise
