🚀 Revolutionizing Trade Finance: Pilot Success with IMDA of Singapore Government & XDC Network! 🌐 We’re thrilled to announce the successful completion of a transformative pilot project using the eTEU platform to leverage an Electronic Bill of Lading (eBL) as collateral for a trade finance loan! This milestone opens new doors for private capital liquidity to access trade finance opportunities while providing commodity traders with alternative sources of capital. 📍 The Breakthrough: On November 14, 2024, Metal Holding, a wholesale metals trader, completed a paperless cross-border trade, shipping hot rolled steel from Zonguldak, Turkey, to Izmail Port, Ukraine. Financed by a Swiss family office, the transaction leveraged the eBL issued on eTEU as collateral, drastically reducing costs and time. 💡 Why It Matters: Using the TradeTrust framework by the IMDA and the XDC Network, this pilot showcased: Time Savings: Financing reduced from 2 weeks to 3 hours, and document delivery cut to under 1 minute from 8 working days. Cost Efficiency: Instant document originality verification, eliminating delays. New Possibilities: Enabled trade finance for previously inaccessible intra-Black Sea shipments due to faster-than-transit document processing. ⚙️ Tech Behind the Transformation: TradeTrust Framework: Ensures secure and legally recognized digital trade documents.
