“AI can seem complex, but it doesn’t need to be,” Earlybird founder Claudine shared in last week’s Stylist Magazine ‘Take Your Time Back’ series in partnership with Google! The series shows readers how Google’s AI tools help give us our time back. Claudine shared the impact of NotebookLM to digest long form research papers. “NotebookLM lets me create short podcasts from the research, so I get up to speed much faster, focusing on the parts that matter most to me.” Read the full Stylist article below and hear from other women who use AI every day to boost productivity, streamline tasks and overcome creative blocks. https://lnkd.in/gvsR7Miq

In this final spotlight in our series, we hear from Bradley Ebsworth-Willis, Associate Director of Continuous Improvement and Innovation at Reed in Partnership. Bradley also featured on the panel at our report launch earlier in the month alongside Thomas Harley, Liz Sewell where we heard a keynote from Sean Williams, CEO of AutogenAI. In his contribution to the report, 'Employment Support Services in the AI Era: Insights, Lessons and Advice from Leaders in the Sector', Bradley highlights Reed in Partnership's dynamism in responding to the developments in AI technology and how that has impacted the organisation's structure and priorities. He explained how Reed is proactively aligning their teams to ensure they are well-positioned for digitalisation and AI adoption, a step that not all organisations have yet taken: "We have recently merged our continuous improvement and innovation functions to further evolve our long-standing investment and commitment to continuous improvement. We’ve brought teams together with a clear remit of spearheading digitalisation and AI adoption throughout the company, aligning our teams with the AI technology we’re adopting. So I think the first element really is making sure that companies are organised and ready to embrace it and ready to implement the changes that are needed.“ Read his full contribution by downloading the report now - and let us know what you think. https://lnkd.in/eK7V7bWC We have now reached the final instalment of our series spotlighting the ten fantastic sector leaders and some of their insights into their experiences and perspectives on where the sector is headed in a time of vast technological change. It's been an exciting fortnight after joining Earlybird! 🚀On my first day, we launched a research report into the sector 'Employment Support Services in the AI Era Insights, Lessons and Advice from Leaders in the Sector' at the stunning Resolution Foundation. There was a super informative keynote from Sean Williams and panel from Thomas Harley, Liz Sewell, Bradley Ebsworth-Willis. Since then, it's been a whirlwind getting to know the business, our customers, the wider sector and, of course, getting my hands on our products. And today, Claudine's been featured on the Diversity Power List at the Inclusive Awards 2024. Inclusive Companies Thanks to Claudine Adeyemi-Adams FIEP and Boris Bambo for a fab first fortnight. As they say in startups, we're just getting started. Speaking of... If any colleagues across the sector are at the Employment Related Services Association (ERSA) Conference on the 4th Dec, I look forward to connecting! #AI #FutureofWork

🌟I really enjoyed reflecting on how we use AI. ❓I’d be interested to hear how other people especially in partnership roles are using it.
When serving a really diverse population, being able to communicate with participants in their own language quickly and privately is important. That's where AI can unlock real potential in employment support services. Naomi Ilagoswa, Director of Strategic Partnerships & External Projects at The Growth Company: Employment shared as much with us at Earlybird recently. Naomi has worked in the sector for nearly 15 years and is responsible for the integration and stakeholder engagement for employment, health and justice programmes in the North of England as well as managing bespoke projects such as the United for Ukraine, Employment Legal Advice Service and Employ GM. The learning curve around AI in the space has been steep, but Ilagoswa stressed the importance of patience and collaboration in an interview with Earlybird Founder, Claudine Adeyemi-Adams FIEP for our report: 'Employment Support in the AI Era: Insights, Lessons and Advice from Leaders in the Sector'. By consistently consulting with experts and taking the time to evaluate technologies, organisations can avoid rushing into decisions that could ultimately hinder their progress. She also pointed out that not all solutions are developed with the unique needs of the sector in mind, which is a crucial factor when deciding whether to invest in a new tool: "Often it’s like careers or language tools, and then they try to shove it into the sector. Whereas others are built by people who understand the sector, and I think that’s really key. “ Thank you to Naomi and all of our sector leaders for their contributions! We are continuing to spotlight our report interviewees - and we are almost finished! Today we are reflecting on the insights from Thomas Harley FIEP FRSA, CEO of Get Set UK. Thomas was also one of our panellists at our report launch event at the start of the month as we shared our report into Employment Support in the AI Era. Harley is Founder & CEO of Get Set UK and Board member of Employment Related Services Association (ERSA) and Thera Trust. He brings 20 years of experience in employment services across New Zealand and the UK. Establishing Get Set, he has driven growth, leading a team of over 250 in managing large public contracts that enhance employment, skills, and health services nationwide. Thomas’s journey began in New Zealand, where he developed expertise across public and private sectors, later expanding his impact in the UK. In this wide-ranging contribution, Thomas shared insights into user behaviours when sharing private information with AI systems and some of the implications for organisations. Hear more from Thomas Harley FIEP FRSA and our other sector leaders in our full report below - and let us know your thoughts! https://lnkd.in/eK7V7bWC

"How would you recommend establishing standardised ethics policies and procedures surrounding AI usage?" That's what we asked ten employment service sector experts for our report focusing on Employment Support Services in the AI Era. Today, we are continuing our expert spotlights with James McKenna MIEP, Learning and Development Assessment Consultant at The Institute of Employability Professionals. James has a background in both Further and Higher education across a range of subject areas. As an educator, he honed his skills in curriculum design, student engagement, and assessment. His passion lies in integrating technology into the learning process to enhance student experiences and quality assurance processes. Now, as a learning and development consultant at the IEP, James continues to look for ways to look use technology to improve professional practice. James talks about the importance of proactively engaging with how AI can be used in organisations and developing clear guidelines, even if formal legislation lags behind. He cautions that AI should not become an under-the-radar tool that organisations ignore or fail to address adequately. Find out more about best practice for building robust policies and procedures for the AI era in our full report: https://lnkd.in/eK7V7bWC #AI #Employment #FutureofWork #GetBritainWorking #Technlogy #Change #Leadership #Skills #Employability

🌟 Huge thanks to On Purpose London and Impact Hub London for hosting Emad, Osman, and me to share how Breadwinners goes about creating impact! 🙌 We had the opportunity to share: ✅ Our Theory of Change, to ensure every loaf of bread sold supports jobs for young refugees. ✅ Our "Development Star" to guide the growth of mentors and mentees while also measuring the impact of our work. ✅ Our Participatory Action Research—employing young refugees to design and run surveys that gather feedback from across our community, and how we use it to continuously improve our programmes! ✅ Leveraging AI responsibly to complement, not replace, the critical roles young refugees play in our research. Thanks, Earlybird for your AI!
