We're excited to announce festive shops in both our offices, with all proceeds supporting Sophie's Legacy, our 2024 Charity of the Year. This is a wonderful chance to bring home some holiday cheer while #givingback to families in need.

On Friday our #product and #UX teams joined Migrateful for a day of #teambuilding. They spent time learning about Algerian cuisine from Chef Meriam whilst building team connections. We love to build communities and celebrate our teams’ #diversity.

Recognising the best of the best with our first Checkatrade Awards! Last week we hosted our Checkatrade Awards. We spent the evening recognising our trade members from around the country, with 11 taking home prestigious awards as best of the best in their trade. Did you know today is Stress Awareness Day? Part of International Stress Awareness week? We asked Kat Beswick Assoc. CIPD, Associate People Business Partner, and an avid supporter and co-ordinator of Checkatrade’s Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) programme for her thoughts. “As a Mental Health First Aider at Checkatrade, we use awareness days to get talking, reduce stigma, remind our people that we’re here and encourage them to take the next step in seeking support if they need it. I’ve been part of our MHFA group since we launched all the way back in 2019 and it’s something I’ve always been really proud of. I’m so impressed by the genuine care and commitment of our group in supporting our people in the best way they can. This stress awareness day, I’d encourage you to pause, reflect, check in on how you’re really feeling and reach out for support if you’re struggling” #NationalStressAwarenessDay

Today is World Mental Health Day. We support our people with a number of wellbeing and healthcare initiatives available to them every day of the year. We know how important conversations are for wellbeing, so today, we kept it simple and ordered some cakes to encourage our amazing people to take five and have a conversation that matters. How did you mark the day?
