Attending the React Advanced Conference last Friday with Joana Brito was an invaluable experience, filled with insights I’m excited to bring into my work. I found this conference particularly impactful as someone who uses React in most of my web projects. ✨ Here are a few highlights from the incredible speakers: 💫 Nadia Makarevich 🇺🇦: Her talk on the React Compiler was fantastic, with insights that had me taking notes the whole way through. 💫 Dominik Dorfmeister: Shared great lessons from the React Query API Design journey, highlighting successes and areas for improvement in DX. 💫 Daishi Kato: Introduced us to Server Actions with Waku, showing how React Server Components are opening new possibilities in application architecture. 💫 Lenz W.: Made advanced testing techniques engaging and highly practical, providing a fresh look at testing complex libraries. 💫 Stephen Cooper: His tips on Perfecting Your Profiling using React Dev Tools and hidden features were incredibly insightful for optimizing performance. 💡 Alongside the sessions, I had the chance to meet many talented professionals, exchange ideas, and even share details about the projects I’m working on. ✨ The conference continues online today and tomorrow, and I’m eagerly looking forward to hearing from the upcoming speakers! 🙏 Huge thanks to the Women Coding Community and HalfStack for making this experience possible! If anyone else attended or has thoughts on these topics, feel free to share! In today’s competitive tech world, a portfolio can be your secret weapon. It’s not just a list of projects—it’s your skills in action, showing real-world solutions you’ve built and the creativity you bring to the table. This weekend, I dove into building mine. At first, I started with the usual HTML and CSS, but it felt too easy. I needed a challenge, so I scrapped it and rebuilt everything using React and CSS, focusing on responsiveness. It's been a wild ride, full of bug battles and late-night coding sessions, but it's incredibly rewarding! I’m not done yet, but when I am, you’ll be the first to know! Stay tuned! #SoftwareEngineering #PortfolioBuilding #ReactJS #CSS #WebDevelopment #FrontendDeveloper #ResponsiveDesign #BugFixing #CodingJourney #DevLife #HTML #JavaScript #TechCareer #SoftwareDeveloper #WomenInTech #EngineeringExcellence #CareerGrowth #ReactNative #TechWorld #GlobalDevelopers #TechCommunity #Semicolon

✨𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗮𝗻 𝗮𝗺𝗮𝘇𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 JavaScript London 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝘄𝗲𝗲𝗸!✨ I still can’t believe the event was held in the Lloyd’s building, a place I’ve admired since I first came to London. I’ve always been fascinated by its unique architecture from the outside, and this week, I finally got to see it from the inside. Feeling so lucky! 🍀 But let’s focus on the key takeaways from the event: 🚀 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗟𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗼𝗻.𝗷𝘀: • 𝗦𝘁𝗼𝗽 𝗪𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗧𝗶𝗺𝗲: 𝗠𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗥𝗲𝘂𝘀𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗔𝗣𝗜 𝗗𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗶𝗻 𝗧𝘆𝗽𝗲𝗦𝗰𝗿𝗶𝗽𝘁: I learned how to make API development faster and more efficient by separating API design from business logic and infrastructure code. • 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆: A strong, supportive community at work helps lower stress, encourages growth, accelerates learning, and builds a positive culture. • 𝗕𝗼𝗼𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁: I picked up some great tips on building stronger connections in teams or groups. (Message me if you’d like to chat about this in more detail!) • 𝗟𝗟𝗠 𝘄𝗿𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘀: I gained a deeper understanding of their functionality and the challenges they bring. It was also great to see familiar faces from the previous event, meet new people, hear about their experiences, and take their great advice with me! 🎉 A big thank you to InsurX, Justin Quinn for hosting us, and to JavaScript London, Sam Barcia, Richard Moss, and the entire team for making it happen. Special thanks to the speakers: Anton Roslov, Ana Sampaio, and Richard Moss for sharing their insights. #JavaScript #CommunityEngagement #LondonTech #LearningJourney #APIDevelopment #TypeScript #Networking #InsurX
