Marketing, communications and events are central to our mission to promote Holborn, Bloomsbury, St Giles, Farringdon and Clerkenwell as vibrant, dynamic destinations. By shining a spotlight on our district’s unique character, we’re driving footfall, fostering connections and celebrating our community. For 2025–2030, our plans include: - Ensuring a tailored approach to place marketing by building on the existing identities and characteristics of each neighbourhood and positioning them as attractive places for businesses and their employees to locate and remain and for visitors to enjoy - Hosting an ongoing calendar of relevant and engaging events throughout the year, including those that facilitate networking opportunities for businesses and engaging outdoor events that increase the appeal of the area for both visitors and local employees. - Supporting and promoting local businesses through digital marketing, business collaborations and the CDA Club App. Nicky Bond and Rachael Aldridge lead our Marketing, Communications and Events programme, ensuring our district’s stories are told and its successes celebrated. A 'YES' vote in February 2025 enables us to continue delivering events and campaigns that bring people together, support local businesses and elevate our district. Today at Parliament, the Digital Poverty Alliance launched its report, Rethinking Education with Generative AI. This timely publication explores how Generative AI can transform education, while addressing the challenges it presents for the 1 in 5 children in the UK living in digital poverty. Generative AI has the potential to personalise learning, improve outcomes, and support educators. Yet, without equitable access and thoughtful policy frameworks, these advancements risk widening existing gaps. The report outlines actionable steps for policymakers, educators, and industry leaders to ensure Generative AI is a tool for inclusion and empowerment, creating opportunities for every learner. Now is the time to act – to align innovation with equity and ensure that no child is excluded from the benefits of an AI-enabled education.
