  • McQueen’s 3-year sponsorship with Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew celebrates the beauty of nature and strives to educate the public about the world of flora. The sponsorship has a primary focus on supporting Kew Garden’s Grow Wild program: a mission to bring people together to value and enjoy UK native plants and fungi.     The program facilitates activities to inspire people to grow together and give back through volunteering, improving wellbeing whilst transforming urban spaces.    Grow Wild has achieved many milestones. In 2023, 14 supported groups transformed a total of 3,500 sqm of space. Over 2000 volunteer hours have been collectively donated, including some donated by McQueen employees.    Our McQueen teams recently spent a day volunteering at Kew Gardens. Together they helped refresh the beds for the colder season outside Kew's iconic Palm House - a perfect setting for a day of teamwork and connection with nature.    Looking for inspiration?    Later this year, Grow Wild are releasing a free guide for community growing projects, including advice on UK native planting. This will be a great tool for creating thriving wildlife havens, in even the smallest spaces!

  • McQueen Spring Summer 2025 ‘The banshee is rooted in the history of McQueen, but it’s also a story that I grew up with, so feels deeply personal to me — something I remember my mother talking about in Ireland, describing the cry of this solitary, foreboding figure. For me, she has come to represent something real and potent now. The idea of someone who is feeling and forthright; someone who can be seen as a guiding force.’ — Seán McGirr, Creative Director Paris, 28th September 2024 Discover the #McQueenSS25 show: https://lnkd.in/ea-jxvqu Video by InDigital Set designed by Tom Scutt Music directed by Cyrus Goberville “Love” written and performed by Andy Stott, courtesy of Modern Love. “Lost in Music” performed by The Fall, written by Nile Rodgers and Bernard Edwards, published by Warner Chappell and Sony Music Publishing, courtesy of Cherry Red Records. “White Horse” written and performed by Florence Sinclair, courtesy of XL Recordings. “Screwface” by Brain Killers, courtesy of Kemet/3rd Party Records. “Ferch Gyda’r Llygaid du” written and performed by Tristwch Y Fenywod, released by Night School Records.

  • McQueen Autumn Winter 2024 by Seán McGirr. Set against the backdrop of East London, the campaign captures the renegade glamour of the city’s youth — the diverse characters navigating concrete banks and sprawling streets, seeking its primal pleasures.   Their style is tactile; twisted; taut.   An animal opulence bursts from the seams of tufted denim and the breast of razor-sharp suiting encrusted with shattered jet-stones.   The flash of a hard metal T-bar buckle, cool-to-the-touch — the Sling bag, strapped tightly and held close to the body. The same buckle restraining the trailing tendrils of the Fringe loafer.    Constricted or cocooning, their uniform is one crafted for basal instinct — for the sensuous pleasure, clashed with the hardened fragments of modern life. For the vagaries of London.   Uncover the #McQueenAW24 campaign: https://lnkd.in/eusdqSzM Creative Director: Seán McGirr Art Director: Christopher Simmonds Photographer: Glen Luchford Stylist: Marie Chaix Casting: Ben Grimes Make-Up: Daniel Sallstrom  Hair: Gary Gill Nails: Ama Quashie Production: MAI Productions Music by Death in Vegas – H.A.M.T edit. • To celebrate PRIDE month at McQueen, for the first time ever, 50 team members from across the UK took part in this year's London Pride parade. Proudly standing in solidarity with our McQueen friends, families, and communities, we support enhancing visibility, acceptance, and legal protections for LGBTQIA+ individuals.   McQueen recognises that expression and individuality take many forms and is committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees worldwide. Thank you to everyone who took part, and to everyone who came out to watch the parade in support of the wider LGBTQIA+ community.

  • Lana Del Rey wearing custom-made Alexander McQueen by Seán McGirr to the 2024 Met Gala. Referencing archival Alexander McQueen, the dress is hand-embroidered with bronze hammered bullion hawthorn branches, inspired by Alberto Giacometti’s sculptures. Using natural hawthorn branches, the headpiece is made by hand and draped with a veil of tulle. Finished with the Drop bag with clock detail and the Hoof boots. • For the Spring/Summer 2024 collection, the Peak bag comes in a new croc-effect fabrication – an innovative new vegan material comprising 70% plant-derived components, combining quality and durability. The style features a Clarino™ suede-look microfibre lining – a lower impact material made from 100% recycled non-animal-based fibres. Inspired by the sharp and structured shoulders of the McQueen tailoring silhouettes, the Peak juxtaposes a curved magnetic frame with its soft body. Discover the collection: https://lnkd.in/e_h3VUki

  • Pre-Autumn Winter 2024 menswear. McQueen icons reiterated. The juxtaposition between strength and fragility is reaffirmed. Signature sharp tailoring in traditional menswear wools reflects an early Nineties mood and is finished with flower lace embroidery. Outerwear in exploded silhouettes is cut in technical fabrics. Wardrobe archetypes are subverted: tailoring, outerwear, denim and knitwear have twisted seams. The McQueen harness is redrawn Discover the new collection: https://lnkd.in/eM5B5TDr
