Soorty Enterprises Pvt. Ltd. hosted a remarkable closing ceremony to mark the success of this initiative, showcasing the power of collaboration and commitment to inclusion. We are proud to have been part of Yunus Textile Mills Limited's(YTML) event honoring the remarkable impact of their Shana Bashana initiative, a partnership with NOWPDP that began in 2022 with the goal of creating an inclusive workforce. Through this collaboration, 70 persons with disabilities (PWDs) have been successfully employed at YTML, including 11 in management roles. Notably, this includes women with hearing and speech impairments taking on management positions—a groundbreaking achievement for the textile industry. . The event was graced by YTML’s senior leadership, reaffirming their commitment to inclusion. Mubariz Siddiqui, Member of BoA-NOWPDP, spoke passionately about the impact of this partnership on empowering persons with disabilities through employment. He highlighted how these individuals, trained at NOWPDP in Industrial Stitching, Quality Check, and Computer Operations, entered the workforce equipped with market-relevant skills. . A key milestone celebrated was the confirmation of all management trainees as permanent employees. YTML recognized NOWPDP's critical contribution in equipping PWDs with the right skill set to ensure retention, providing the correct guidance on making the recruitment process inclusive, and conducting disability sensitization sessions for almost 100 staff members, including senior leaders and managers. . . .
