The drivers (and deterrents) of going on assignment have evolved over the years. But are HR and mobility managers fully aware of these heading into 2025? We’re excited to launch a brand new series of reports. The Changing Face of Relocation is a deep dive into what employees truly want out of their relocation experience in 2025 – and whether HR is aligned and equipped to deliver it. We commissioned three surveys throughout 2024, hearing from the HR and mobility decision-makers responsible for overseeing global assignment programs, and assignees themselves. With insights from both sides about the key challenges, and rewards, of corporate relocation, Crown’s mobility experts Caitlin Pyett and Jo Danehl explore some key disconnects in great depth: ✈️ Exposure to new cultures is a top motivator for expats considering assignment – but language barriers (43%) and cultural adaptation (41%) are also key challenges. ✈️ Cultural adaptation becomes more challenging for expats who have relocated more than once. ✈️ Yet HR and mobility teams are unaware – 81% feel it’s a challenge when managing first-time assignees, vs. only 62% when managing seasoned expats. The first report is now live, and available to download: https://bit.ly/4iqpJ0S #hr #relocation #employeemobility
