The Ciarb (EAB) YMG held its well-attended 5th Annual Conference at Alila SCBD Jakarta Hotel in Jakarta on 5 and 6 September 2024. The two-day conference started with the welcoming address by Karen Mills (founder of the Indonesian Chapter of Ciarb), opening remarks by John Lumbantobing, FCIArb (Indonesian Chapter’s YMG Chair) and Felda Yeung (Ciarb (EAB) YMG Chairlady), and a keynote speech by the pre-eminent Prof. Bernard Hanotiau on Complex Arbitrations: Multi-party, Multi-contact and Multi-issue, followed by five insightful conference panels on various topical issues in arbitration. Young practitioners from various jurisdictions across the region also enjoyed networking and sharing their thoughts and experiences.
