🎯 2024, a remarkable year for HKIAC! 📚 HKIAC 2024 Administered Arbitration Rules We published new rules this year, refining our 2018 Rules and introducing exciting changes including on diversity and greener arbitration. We have also seen a rise in caseload – statistics to be announced in February! 🏢 HKIAC established the Beijing Representative Office The first offshore arbitration institution to establish an office in Beijing, giving us a new platform to enhance collaboration between practitioners in and outside of China and providing parties with new options on hearing facilities. 🌟 🥇 Attendance Records We saw record attendance from diverse jurisdictions at ICCA 2024 Hong Kong and Hong Kong Arbitration Week. On 16 December 2024, HKIAC celebrated the opening of its Beijing Representative Office with an Opening Ceremony at the China World Summit Wing in Beijing. We were honoured to have in attendance over 200 in-person guests, including senior government officials, arbitrators, lawyers, in-house counsel, academics and representatives from other arbitration institutions, and over 25,000 online views. Our sincere thanks to our guests for sharing this special moment with us. The Beijing office, led by Xi Zhang, and located at China World Tower B, No. 1 Jian Guo Men Wai Avenue, will begin operations in the new year.

HKIAC successfully hosts the Asian Domain Name Dispute Resolution Centre (ADNDRC) Annual Conference 2024. The 2024 Conference attracted 400+ delegates (in person and online) including in-house counsel, cybersecurity experts, brand protection specialists, private practitioners, academics and business owners, all with an interest in domain name dispute resolution and related IP issues. The Asian Domain Name Dispute Resolution Centre (ADNDRC) has appointed Joanne Lau as its new Chair. HKIAC, together with the Asian International Arbitration Centre , China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission (CIETAC) and the Korean Internet Dispute Resolution Committee are the four member organisations that form the Asian Domain Name Dispute Resolution Centre (ADNDRC), the only institution in Asia appointed to handle domain name disputes under the ICANN Uniform Dispute Resolution Policy for .com, .net, .org and many other top level domains. HKIAC is the sole provider for .hk and .香港 disputes under the Hong Kong Domain Name Dispute Resolution Policy.
