🎉 We are beyond excited to share that our NitroBox project has been awarded a 11.7M DKK (~1.6M EUR) grant from the Grønt Udviklings- og Demonstrationsprogram (GUDP)! This is part of their recent investment in innovative projects driving the green transition in the Danish food- and ag-sector. 🚀 With this funding, we’ll build and test the world’s first on-site electrochemical ammonia synthesis unit - taking in only air, water, and renewable electricity to produce green ammonia, on-demand. Our demo unit, the NitroBox, will be placed on a local Danish farm to produce ammonia that can be used directly as fertilizer - making farming more sustainable and resilient. 🌾♻️ A huge thank you to GUDP for believing in our vision and supporting our journey. The NitroVolt Electrolyzer Database is Now Live! 🚀 What began as a simple bullet list on Notepad has evolved into a comprehensive spreadsheet with over 300 electrolyzers and detailed datasheets. Our user-friendly web tool allows you to compare stack and system-level energy consumption effortlessly, which you can filter by country of origin or manufacturer. We believe this tool will be incredibly useful for researchers, engineers, and anyone interested in hydrogen production. Your company's electrolyzer is not there? Some data is missing? You would like us to implement a new feature? Your feedback and suggestions are invaluable to us as we intend to continue enhancing this resource, so please reach out. 👏 Special thanks to Tomás Cortés Martínez, our amazing intern who expanded the database and built the Streamlit tool; as well as Gloria for her foundational work on the early version of the collection and first steps with the web tool. At NitroVolt, we’re delighted to partner with a team of bright DTU - Technical University of Denmark students this semester in the Life Cycle Assessment of Products and Systems course. Andrea, Clara, Gloria, and Lina, posing here in our brand new NitroLabs with one of our small Nitrolyzers, will be diving into Life Cycle Assessment, comparing the conventional Haber Bosch process with green Haber Bosch and NitroVolt production. We’re looking forward to supporting the team on their learning journey and gaining valuable insights into sustainable ammonia production. 🌱
