Our partnership with Raiffeisen Bank Ukraine continues to lead the way in driving the transition to regenerative agriculture. 🌍 At the end of 2024, Bo, our Principal Strategy Manager, and Rasmus, our Principal R&D Manager, joined an engaging discussion with ESG leaders and experts across Raiffeisen International. Here’s the inside scoop ⬇️ 🤝 The conversation focused on key learnings from our collaboration with the Bank in Ukraine - supporting farmers who are operating under incredibly challenging conditions. 🌱 Regenerative agriculture can benefit long-term farm profitability, resilience, and sustainability – but farmers need support in the process. 🎯 With solid documentation and proven benefits, banks are able to develop their business while supporting the transition to sustainable farming practices. Banks can play a critical role in financing the regenerative revolution. Our pioneering digital Monitoring, Reporting and Verification (dMRV) technologies are providing verified field-level data that supports these financial institutions in achieving their sustainability goals, unlocking access to green finance across their agricultural customer portfolio. Given the importance of finance for the sustainable transition, it’s exciting to see major players, like Raiffeisen Bank, continuing to develop their support of regenerative agriculture. With 35 participants joining from 10 different markets, a particular mention must go to Olena Mykhailychenko and Vera Economou for facilitating such an impactful meeting. #RegenerativeAgriculture #SustainableFinance #ESG

Agreena farmers grew 3,099,390.06 tonnes of wheat in one year. That's enough to be turned into 2.4 million tonnes of flour. And that's enough for 6 billion loaves of bread, or ¾ of a loaf for everyone on Earth. 🍞 Not all wheat becomes bread, but hey, we’re dreamers. 2024 has been regenerative agriculture’s biggest year yet. 💥 It's been a year of milestones and momentum: non-stop innovation, collaboration, and impact for people and the planet. From our series of high-profile events at Climate Week NYC, to our packed sessions at Groundswell Agriculture, everyone’s been talking about regen ag. We're proud to have launched ground-breaking partnerships with industry leaders like Mars, IFC - International Finance Corporation and Raiffeisen Bank Ukraine, who share our vision for a more sustainable food system. And with the acquisition of fieldmargin, we've taken a major step forward in our mission to scale regenerative agriculture across Europe, supporting the farmers at the forefront of the revolution. As we look ahead to 2025, we’re doing so as Europe’s leading soil carbon programme: operating in 20 countries, supporting more than 2,300 farmers actively transitioning more than 4.5 million hectares of farmland. And we’re not stopping there. With new partnerships, product launches, and announcements coming soon, our impact is accelerating. To everyone who's supported Agreena this year, thank you. Thank you for championing farmers, for believing in a more sustainable food system, and for supporting the regenerative revolution. Stay tuned… 🌱 #RegenerativeAgriculture #NatureBasedSolutions #ClimateActionNow

How can we scale regenerative agriculture and ensure that soil carbon finance is delivered with integrity? This is something I think about daily — and the answer is data. In the delivery of credible soil carbon outcomes, reliable data serves as the critical linchpin that underpins the entire value chain. Soil carbon sequestration has the potential to contribute up to 25% of the global effort necessary to keep global warming below 2 degrees. Given the promising potential for regenerative agriculture practices to serve as a holistic solution for climate, nature, and community, uptake in carbon finance is essential for widespread farmer adoption. Data ensures that what we measure aligns with what is happening literally ‘on the ground’, enabling carbon financiers to trust that the impacts they pay for are real, verifiable, and lasting. Accounting for soil carbon is complex and regenerative agriculture projects call for meticulous data-driven measurement, reporting, and verification with continuous monitoring to deliver at scale with integrity. At Agreena, scientifically robust, reliable, and transparent data sits at the heart of all that we do, as it is essential for corporates to enhance their reporting and substantiate claims with credibility. I could go on here, but I’ll let you read more in the article I’ve written for Quantum Commodity Intelligence about data as the lever to unlock the nascent soil carbon market with integrity. A huge thank you to the editorial team for inviting me to contribute to their excellent Carbon Insights publication. 🙏 https://agreena.cc/4g90qz6 #RegenerativeAgriculture #CarbonFarming #ClimateTech

‘We are here to help educate the financial sector that working with regenerative farmers is good for both business and the soil.” 🌱 – Ricardo Luís, Agroholding Contesti SRL, Agreena Ambassador farmer As part of our financial services partnership, we joined IFC - International Finance Corporation at their seminars in Moldova and Romania, bringing finance professionals together with farmers. CCO Frederik Aagaard, Principal Strategy Manager Bo Tolstrup Christensen, Principal R&D Manager Rasmus Bjerre-Edberg and Project Manager Nicholas Rapp brilliantly represented Agreena on panels alongside other financial sector leaders and government officials. From the impacts of climate change to creating financial products that account for the greater resilience of soils associated with regenerative agriculture, discussions were focused on the importance of collaboration and knowledge-sharing between farmers, financial institutions and other stakeholders in scaling the adoption of regenerative agriculture. 🎯 Thanks to all those who contributed their time and shared their experience: in particular Andrian Prohnitchi, Razvan Avram, Petru Panfil, Andrei Pavlenco from Proteh Agro and Adrian Călin from IPSO Agricultură, as well as IFC partners Vlad Andrei Popescu from Norofert Group and Florin Ciolacu from The Romanian Farmer's Club.
