About us
𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐟𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐭𝐨 𝐬𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐚𝐠𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 Today, farming accounts for 15% of global greenhouse gas emissions, but we believe it could become carbon neutral. eAgronom helps farmers generate additional revenue streams, improve soil quality, and access better financing. We bring together world-class experts from IT, agronomy, and environmental sciences to help farmers return carbon back into the soil, grow crops sustainably and profitably while leading the world toward cleaner nature and healthier food. eAgronom 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗯𝗼𝗻 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺 allows farmers to get paid for creating Carbon Credits, improve the quality of their soil, reduce the cost of inputs and get access to better financing terms. All together, making carbon-neutral farming profitable. We also help food companies to implement value chain projects and measure their impact. The agricultural sector plays a pivotal role in the global food value chain but is also a significant contributor to emissions. Companies in the food sector, under increasing pressure to address climate change, are focusing on Scope 3 emissions—the largest and hardest-to-control category, often linked to farming practices. Programs targeting farm-level sustainability are gaining momentum, offering financial incentives and agronomic benefits for adopting sustainable practices. These initiatives not only help reduce emissions but also improve soil health, crop resilience, and productivity, creating a win-win-win scenario for farmers, companies, and the climate. #eAgronom #Scope3 #foodproduction

In 2022, eAgronom joined forces with Swedbank Estonia to support Baltic farmers in their sustainability journey by offering favorable financing terms to those meeting the Sustainable Farmer Certificate criteria. Aasa Agro OÜ, a grain-growing farm in Läänemaa, proudly became the first in Estonia to earn this certification. CEO Risto Aasa shared how this achievement unlocked better interest rates on investments, resulting in notable annual savings. Through eAgronom's carbon program, Aasa Agro adopted sustainable practices like reduced tillage and cover cropping, boosting soil health and making their farm more resilient in the future. We're excited to see more farmers embracing sustainability, proving that what's good for the planet can also be good for business. Introducing "Growing Together: Farmer's Stories" by eAgronom 🌱 We're excited to launch a new blog series dedicated to the lives, challenges, and inspiring philosophies of the farmers who nourish our communities. In "Growing Together: Farmer’s Stories," we delve deep into the personal stories of farmers from diverse backgrounds, bringing you closer to the fields, farms, and everyday realities of those who dedicate their lives to this essential work. Each story captures the resilience, adaptability, and community spirit that defines modern agriculture. Our goal? To bridge the gap between consumers, businesses from other industries, and the agricultural world, offering a glimpse into the dedication it takes to bring food and resources to our tables. And for fellow farmers and enthusiasts, we hope this series becomes a source of shared ideas, new insights, and mutual inspiration. Our first story features Farmer Tõnis (Tõnis Soopalu) – a testament to hard work and innovation in farming. The rest of the story is available from the link under the comments section. 👇 Let’s grow together! 🌱

📢 💡 We had another very entertaining and informative event in Estonia, where local farmer Tõnis Soopalu started the day with sharing his experiences with the Carbon Program and implementing sustainable farming practices so far. Later, we held workshops on his field and presented the results of our trials with different cover crop mixtures. 📌 ☘ The day featured also a number of other interesting presentations from top experts on topics such as assessing the carbon footprint from a farmer's perspective, future opportunities for farmers to generate additional income inside the food industry value chain, key prerequisites for regenerative agriculture, and the importance of controlled traffic farming. These are all important issues for farmers and the farming community. Big thanks to Scandagra Estonia, Linas Agro Estonia, Agrotrade, Baltic Agro Estonia, Viru Seeme, Agripartner, Multiva eCerex and METK - Centre of Estonian Rural Research and Knowledge / Maaelu Teadmuskeskus for co-organizing the event.
