  • As part of Petron’s continuous efforts to increase the Go-To-Safety-Point (GTSP) programme’s awareness, this time, we brought our annual State Event to the community and service station dealers in the Northern Region!   This Penang State-Level GTSP programme at Petron Juru Ramp (FI) on 5 December was attended by distinguished officials, including YDH ACP Mohamed Nordin Bin Abdullah, Deputy Chief of Crime Prevention and Community Safety Department (JPJKK) Pulau Pinang Contingent, and Shaliza Mohd Sidek, Head of Retail Business, Petron Malaysia. The event also attracted more than 100 attendees, comprising representatives from the Royal Malaysia Police, service station dealers, and the local community.   The event featured a video simulation demonstrating the steps and early assistance measures to take during an emergency, the introduction of the de-stress corner, and a talk on first aid and emergency medical assistance by Dr Teo Aik Howe, Senior Consultant Emergency Physician from Hospital Pulau Pinang.   The initiative effectively reinforced the importance of safety awareness and preparedness while serving as a refresher training for Northern region dealers to stay updated on the incident handling system. Through the collaborative efforts of Petron and the Royal Malaysia Police, we continue to foster a safer environment for everyone.   See you again next year! #PetronMalaysia #GoToSafetyPoint

  • We are proud to continue our commitment to safety with the Petron Road Safety Programme, one of our longest-standing advocacy initiatives.   Today, the programme has arrived in Penang, where we engaged more than 500 students at SMK Dato' Kailan together with our collaborative partners – Road Transport Department Malaysia (JPJ), Fire and Rescue Department of Malaysia (BOMBA), and Boon Siew Honda, reinforcing essential road safety practices that have long been a part of Petron's sustainability initiatives.   The programme emphasises a "hands-on" and "minds-on" learning approach, encouraging students to engage directly with demonstrators to deepen their understanding of road safety. Key activities included station-based demonstrations and road safety briefings by JPJ. Boon Siew Honda also introduced the motorcycle driving simulator for safe rider education. Additionally, industry experts presented live simulations, highlighting essential topics such as large vehicle blind spots, the importance of safety checks, and LPG cooking gas safety demonstration. As a gesture of support, Petron sponsored motorcycle engine oil, which students could earn as prizes by answering road safety quiz questions correctly.    At Petron, we remain dedicated advocates for road safety, and this programme is a testament to that commitment. Furthermore, it aligns with national efforts to reduce number of road accidents, supporting Malaysia Road Safety Plan 2022-2030. #PetronMalaysia #PetronRoadSafetyProgramme #MalaysiaRoadSafetyPlan #CommunitySafety

  • 🌟 This is what great teamwork looks like! 🌟 We recently concluded a series of vibrant yet engaging team-building events filled with creativity and collaboration, creating an enjoyable work environment and setting the stage to elevate our team performance to the next level! These fun-filled experiences reminded us that teamwork is about uplifting each other, celebrating successes, and supporting one another through challenges. This time, we have also created a “Virtual Coach” for all Petronians to bring home. It was an inflated diamond-shaped origami filled with insightful coaching questions aimed to help us stay guided and focused on achieving the best version of ourselves, even after the team-building sessions! Together, we harness our strengths, deepen our connections, and drive forward as a unified team. A BIG thank you to everyone who made these days unforgettable, and Cheers to our Petronians! 🚀 #PetronMalaysia #PetronMalaysiaHumanResources #TeamBuilding2024 #NextLevel #Teamwork

  • It's official!   Petron Malaysia is now the oil and gas company that collaborates with Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) for the TNB Electron electric vehicle (EV) charging station powered by TNBX. Ir. Mahathir Nor Ismail, Chief Distribution Network Officer of TNB, and Shaliza Mohd Sidek, our Head of Retail Business Petron Malaysia, proudly graced the launch ceremony together at Petron Selising, Kelantan on 15 October 2024.   Petron Selising now hosts the second TNB Electron EV charging station, following the successful pilot at Petron Gemuroh, Terengganu. This milestone reflects our commitment to green initiatives aimed at reducing carbon footprints, supporting the nation's aspiration to achieve net-zero emissions by 2050. The EV charging stations will be rolled out in phases, with plans to expand across the East Coast region, ensuring greater accessibility for EV owners in outskirt areas.   The EV charger installations also complement our existing comprehensive operation or a "one-stop centre", which will enable us to serve more customers with our wide range of offerings such as Treats or Pkedai, Allied Business food offers, car wash, money changers and other facilities.   May our strategic partnership with TNB pave the way for a greener future for our country. #PetronMalaysia #EVChargingStations #GreenMobility #RenewableEnergy
