On December 13, AMCHAM had the pleasure of hosting a group of students from The Rinker School of Business for an Academic Briefing, featuring a guest speaker, Nadia Alias, International Marketing Manager at Turner International. The session is to provide American students insight into how American companies navigate and operate within the Malaysian business environment. To begin the session, AMCHAM provided an overview of the chamber’s mission and operations, focusing on our vital role in advocacy and government relations. We highlighted the key initiatives and strategic efforts we employ to support our members and strengthen the American business community in Malaysia. In her session, Nadia began by showcasing Turner International’s involvement in some of the world’s most iconic and complex buildings, with several of these landmark projects proudly located in Malaysia. She also offered a unique perspective on working within an American multinational corporation (MNC), and navigating the workspace in both Southeast Asian and American settings. Nadia's perspective added a practical dimension to the briefing, highlighting the complexities of managing cross-cultural and multinational operations. We would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to The Rinker School of Business for their interest in understanding the work that AMCHAM does and to our guest speaker, Nadia Alias, for sharing valuable insights during today’s Academic Briefing. #University #MNCs #AcademicBriefing #SoutheastAsia

Day 1: Making My Imprint Creativity is Silence. Testing our communication skills, we kicked off the AMCHAM staff retreat by creating a team painting without speaking, using only one paintbrush at a time! Unexpected results but hilarious as we all tried to guess how the last image reimagined the final image. We celebrated each individual’s contributions to the team’s overall artwork! This activity set an inspiring tone for what’s ahead! #AMCHAMRetreat #Teamwork #Reflection #contribution #pangkorisland
