Aura Blockchain Consortium was established by leading luxury players LVMH, OTB Group, Prada Group and Cartier, part of Richemont. The luxury groups have joined forces to address the shared challenges of communicating authenticity, responsible sourcing and sustainability in a secure digital format. Aura Blockchain Consortium is a non-profit association based in Switzerland with the purpose to promote socially responsible, sustainable, and customer-centric business practices throughout the lifecycle of luxury products by leveraging blockchain and other technologies. By promoting the use of a single global blockchain platform open to luxury brands of all sectors worldwide, the platform provides consumers with additional information, services, transparency and raises the customer experience to a new level.

  • Digital Product Passports are Shaping the Future of Fashion    At a recent roundtable in Italy, hosted by Fairly Made®, the transformative potential of Digital Product Passports (DPPs) in the fashion industry took center stage.     Mario Didonato, Group Digital Director at Prada Group, highlighted the strategic advantages DPPs offer luxury brands for enhancing the customer experience.   • The Aura Community gathered together in Milan for the second edition of our Luxury Unblocked series – an evening of connection, knowledge-sharing, and celebration.     Graciously hosted by Marc Sondermann, the evening featured insights from our CEO, Romain Carrere, on the work Aura is doing with our members to elevate the luxury customer experience through Digital Product Passports (DPPs). Daniela Grossen, our Operations & Onboarding Lead, provided an in-depth look at the ESPR regulation, which mandates DPP implementation for many EU products by 2027.    We also had thought-provoking discussions from some of our member brands, Alexandra LUPAS, Corporate Projects Director at Prada Group, and Cristiano Busetto, Head of Blockchain & Off-Price Sales at OTB Group, shared how they are leveraging blockchain to enhance customer engagement and how they navigate internal complexities.     Exploring Digital Product Passports with FHH - Fondation Haute Horlogerie    Our CEO Romain Carrere and General Counsel Danika Ahr were honoured to be invited by Fondation Haute Horlogerie to present a masterclass on Digital Product Passports (DPPs) in collaboration with Deloitte.    The session delved into the transformative power of DPPs in the luxury sector, highlighting their journey from product origin to client experience and exploring how upcoming regulations, such as the ESPR, mandating DPPs for many products by 2027, can be reimagined as a powerful opportunity for luxury brands.    Rather than viewing compliance as a challenge, we discussed how DPPs unlock immense potential to elevate the customer experience. By leveraging blockchain, brands can integrate meaningful services such as e-warranty, e-insurance, and care / repair offerings—providing a seamless and enriched ownership experience, especially in the world of luxury watches.    The session also featured an insightful contribution from Valeria G., representing our member brand Czapek & Cie., who shared their innovative work with DPPs and the benefits they bring to their heritage craft.    A kind thank you to Pascal O.
