Happening Now! The first EPC Expert Training on Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs) under the BUILD_ME Project is underway. Organized by The Integrated Development Group - IDG and the Housing & Building National Research Center ( HBRC ), in collaboration with Guidehouse. The training aims to enhance understanding of energy efficiency, renewable energy, and EPC process, while providing practical skills in energy demand calculations and cost-effectiveness assessments through the BEP tool. The Integrated Development Group - IDG - Cool Up's national implementer in Egypt - in collaboration with the Ministry of Environment, successfully conducted its second finance sector training on 7 November 2024. Following the success of the initial session on 28 February 2024, this training aimed to enhance participants' understanding of sustainable cooling practices and the critical connection between finance and environmental strategies. By equipping financial stakeholders with this knowledge, Cool Up seeks to bolster sustainable cooling efforts in Egypt and evaluate the feasibility of significant environmental projects.
