  • It’s been a successful few days for our Graduate Sustainability Advisor Caitlin Duquemin, who received confirmation last week that she has passed her Domestic Energy Assessor course provided by Energy Trust® and is now qualified to produce domestic Energy Performance Certificates. This is a fantastic achievement and a reflection of Caitlin’s hard work and commitment to professional growth. As a Domestic Energy Assessor, she will play a vital role in helping homeowners and businesses improve energy efficiency, reduce costs, and contribute to a more sustainable future. If you want to understand your property’s energy consumption, gain insight into improvements to meet evolving energy efficiency standards, and demonstrate your environmental commitment, an EPC assessment is an excellent way to accomplish this. Get in touch with UN1TY Trusted Advisory today for further information from our qualified team of domestic and commercial energy assessors. Rollo de Sausmarez Mike Ozanne Colin Woodcock

  • Reflecting on session one of our construction focused sustainability training, the level of discussion the cohort engaged in resulted in some really interesting conversations, particularly involving Guernsey’s prospective #EnergyPerformanceCertificate (EPC) requirements. It's great to have so much expertise in one room, especially when our cohorts get stuck in and want to share their knowledge. It’s fascinating to hear the different considerations and questions that are generated on topics like EPCs from individuals in the same sector but who operate in different roles. And it means that we get to learn a lot too! We’re looking forward to session two this week. With EPCs on the horizon in Guernsey, it seems a good time to mention that this is a service that UN1TY Trusted Advisory offers. With qualified Domestic and Commercial assessors on our team, we can produce thorough and reliable EPC assessments to help you understand the energy efficiency of your property. Please do get in touch for more information. Rollo de Sausmarez Mike Ozanne Colin Woodcock Caitlin Duquemin

  • Last night, the team here at UN1TY Trusted Advisory had the pleasure of attending the Guernsey Chamber of Commerce annual gala on the theme of 'People and Planet’, featuring businesswoman, broadcaster, author and activist Mary Portas OBE, as the keynote speaker. UN1TY were also a sponsor of the event. It was a fantastic experience to hear Mary Portas speak. Her book ‘Rebuild’ discusses topics that we at UN1TY consider vital – most importantly, that people and planet must be put ahead of profit. The way we live, buy and sell is rightfully changing, and businesses must understand their role and begin to prioritise social progress over sole monetary gain. We appreciated the important message she communicated to attendees – that businesses must drive positive change, add value to society, put their people first, and take responsibility for their environmental impact. Thank you to Guernsey Chamber of Commerce for hosting this inspiring event – our team had a great time and enjoyed the opportunity to connect and chat to so many likeminded individuals. If Mary’s message resonated with you and your business, UN1TY offers a range of services that can assist individuals and businesses on their journey to a more sustainable offering, where people and planet are the priority. Please get in touch with our team for more information. Rollo de Sausmarez Mike Ozanne Colin Woodcock

UN1TY are pleased to report that Caitlin Duquemin has gained her Carbon Literacy Facilitator certification from The Carbon Literacy Project. And as an added bonus, Caitlin receives her certification on #CarbonLiteracyActionDay2024. As an organization centred around sustainability, we’re proud that our team is always keen to further enhance their expertise and skills in order to continue having impactful conversations about climate action. Gaining this certification allows Caitlin to continue delivering our Carbon Literacy Training course, and in doing so, educate and empower our cohorts on reducing their carbon footprint and understanding the urgent need for sustainable practices across all sectors. While #CarbonLiteracyActionDay2024 and #COP29 are ongoing, there’s really no better time to gain further knowledge and upskill your team on the science behind climate change, and the action that we as individuals and organizations can take to reduce our impact. Get in touch to secure your spot on our next Carbon Literacy cohort, or book through the link in the comments.
