The Clean Earth Trust is delighted to share the Marine Litter Report for 2023. This report highlights the ongoing issue of marine litter on our shores, with a staggering 80% of collected items identified as plastic. This report would not have been possible without the dedication of our volunteers, from our beach clean coordinators, to the individuals who participate in our organised cleanups, and the passionate individuals that beach clean and upload surveys year-round, your contributions are invaluable. Thank you to Suntera Global for sponsorship of this years report, as well as Guernsey Nature Commission and Richard Lord for your contributions in this years report. The summary of the report can be seen below. Read the full report here: https://lnkd.in/e6Kj-JvQ

Limiting human impact on the environment.
About us
The Clean Earth Trust is a local Guernsey based charity helping limit human impact on the environment. Established in 2018 by Andrew Munro, the Trust was formed following the success of its #pickitupguernsey campaign through which it won, and was nominated for, several community awards. Since its inception the team have launched a number of initiatives to raise awareness of the growing challenges that face our natural world. We focus on community lead and data driven projects that create meaningful and measurable impact, alongside campaigns that highlight important local issues concerning the health of our island and its inhabitants. In addition to our projects and campaigns, we run outreach programmes with schools, youth organisations and corporate groups. The Clean Earth Trust is a Guernsey registered charity, No. CH592.
