Wrapping up the year with our final site inspection for these two! Cheers from Arthur Rodrigues de Aguiar and Abbey James to everyone who supports our social posts – we’ve got an exciting 2025 lined up! In the background is the surface water that must be floc'ed to meet guideline criteria and discharged today. The turbidity recorded 751 turbidity NTU at 7.30am. The team adopted a mix of chemical and physical treatment to successfully ameliorate surface water for dewatering. After 2.5 hours the turbidity recorded 59 NTU. That's a whopping 92% improvement in water quality! This significant reduction in sediment load helps protect our waterways, highlighting how the construction industry is actively minimising environmental impact on receiving environments. Additionally, we conducted an Environmental Compliance Audit to ensure the site team is well-prepared for weather conditions over the Christmas shutdown. Have a fantastic Christmas relaxing with friends and family. Wilson Environmental Compliance will be back 6 January 2025. #waterquality #constructionsite #sediment #independant #esc

Groundwater Dewatering - achieving environmental compliance at Drift Residences Main Beach. A GDI Group development - 31 Storey luxury residential development over 4 level basement in Gold Coast. Wilson Environmental Compliance has been supporting the Drift Residences development as the environmental consultant-of-choice since we prepared the Dewatering Management Plan in 2022. Throughout 2024, we have conducted independent dewatering water quality compliance monitoring for GDI Group. The proactive measures and rigorous dewatering accountability allowed Drift Residences to consistently maintain environmental compliance, ensuring dewatered groundwater meets environmental objectives and safeguards our waterways from pollution. Jar Testing! A simple chemical reaction making all the difference. Chemicals are used in dewatering treatment to cause suspended particles to clump together and form flocs to allow groundwater to meet environmental compliance. Jar testing is a real time process that allows estimates for chemical dosage to be made, and is a pretty beautiful process to watch. #environmentalcompliance #watertesting #dewatering Wilson Environmental Compliance - 1300 172 940

Check this out.... Dissolved iron is removed by a whopping 98.5% in a wrap up of one of our latest dewatering projects in the Gold Coast QLD. The dark blue line is extracted untreated groundwater. The turquoise line is results after chemical treatment. For those interesting in science behind dewatering the process involves the oxidation of Ferrous Iron (Fe2+) to Ferric Iron (Fe3+) 4Fe2+ + O2 + 6H2O - 4Fe3+ + 4OH- All data from dewatering operations is collated in a Dewatering Closure Report that is a City of Gold Coast condition of approval from the Dewatering Management Plan (prepared by Wilson Environmental Compliance in 2023). Dewatering Closure Reports are also useful to: 1. Showcase consecutive compliance, 2. Relinquish the project of any future pollution and/or contamination regarding groundwater and the receiving waters, 3. Shows the project had no environmental impact onto the receiving waters, 4. Shows the project complied with the dewatering methodology set out in the Dewatering Management Plan. 5. The Dewatering Closure Report can be included in Client application for construction/environmental award nominations :) Great charts Arthur Rodrigues de Aguiar ! #dewatering #groundwater #civil #basementconstruction #goldcoastdevelopment Need assistance with your dewatering project? check out other projects https://lnkd.in/gDiUE2ym projectteam@wilson-compliance.com 1300 172 940 follow us on insta https://lnkd.in/g6f4f4Mf

Demystifying Dewatering Dewatering basement construction sites can be challenging - but there is a better, smarter, more sustainable way to dewater groundwater. A way that is less invasive on our groundwater resources. We can design an approach that delivers practical benefits to the construction industry: 1. Reduce volume of groundwater extracted 2. Minimise the amount of chemicals into our waterways 3. Save project time, money and space. https://lnkd.in/gxRDwJAj https://lnkd.in/g3-K-jNm 1300 172 940 projectteam@wilson-compliance.com #dewatering #construction #goldcoast #qld #qlddevelopment

I am feeling honoured and proud to have received the 2024 UDIA Queensland award for Innovation on behalf of Wilson Environmental Compliance and Ground Support Systems (Aust). Category: INNOVATION Demystifying Dewatering for our work with SIERA at the TAPESTRY development in Chevron Island QLD. Dewatering for basement developments can be done smarter —a way that’s less invasive on our natural groundwater resources. Thank you to SIERA Brent Thompson and Jarrod McInally. And the Tapestry site team lead by Jason Dinnen. SIERA brought us in early for the planning stage of dewatering. We prepared the Dewatering Management Plan for Council approval. Using technology and understanding the ground conditions we were able to achieve something I am personally proud of: Firstly - we reduced the volume of groundwater extracted. Secondly - we minimised the amount of chemicals going into our water ways. And thirdly - (and most importantly) we saved the project a significant amount of money. Thank you to our collaborator Josh Hockley Thank you to the amazing team at Wilson Environmental Compliance Together we are showing the industry there is a smarter, more sustainable way to dewater basement developments. #udiaawardsforexcellence #udiaqld #udia #property #innovation #awards #sustainabledevelopment #developerawards Arthur Rodrigues de Aguiar Nathan Zurig Chris Anderson Abbey James
