If you have had an eye on our socials, you will have seen the installation of our tower crane take place! This achievement is the result of the hard work and long hours put in by everyone on-site. With the tower crane now in full use, the team will be making steadfast progress, with the pouring of our basement raft slab scheduled for mid-December, commencing the first of our 26 slabs to be poured throughout the course of the project. Over the past few months, the team has been dedicated to preparing the site for some exciting milestones leading into the end of the year - the installation of our tower crane and the pouring of our basement 3 raft slab. Despite being faced with the disruption of extensive wet weather, the team has been pushing through and is determined to finish the year strong. Some of the recent items that have been completed to prepare the site for our upcoming raft slab pour include: - Completion of bulk excavation activities. - Completion of the bases to the lift core, stair core and stormwater tank. - Continual installation of concrete blinder and slab preparation work. - Waterproof membrane to Level B3 raft slab, crane base, stormwater tank and lift and stair bases. - Installation of the tower crane base and assembly of the tower crane. - Stud connections to the Level B3 raft slab that connects our raft slab to our CSM retention wall. - Final pile trimming and detailing for connection to the Level B3 raft slab. - Precast panel manufacture for the core and Basement 3 areas. Since topping out the project in late October, the team have been dialled in on progressing the internal services and finishes of the building.   Working together collaboratively with LPS Group to ensure that every small detail meets the highest standard possible, SIERA is truly proud of the work completed so far and is eager to continue this standard of quality right through to the build completion and post-settlement. Some of the key items that have taken place over the last month include:  • Installation of double-glazed windows up the building. • Waterproofing installation and testing. • Internal framing. • Internal sheeting and setting. • Facade rendering and painting. With the team powering forward into Christmas, the next phase of the interiors will be very exciting as we see the installation of the apartment joinery and tiling.   Having worked closely alongside the architect and interior design team at Ellivo Architects, these stunning finishes have been hand-picked to bring an added level of sophistication to the residences, with every detail carefully selected to compliment the design and structure of each space. Long-time Gold Coast resident and Director of Buildsafe , Milton Young, recently shared his experience with Urban.com.au on purchasing a home in PIPIS.   "Something was happening there every day," Milton recalled. "When you're dealing with buying off the plan, you have very little to physically take in, so anything you can see for yourself, is very important in the decision-making process. It gave me a high level of confidence."   After selling his family home in Clear Island Waters earlier this year, Milton sought a calm, beachfront lifestyle while still being surrounded by nearby amenities. Having looked around Kirra, where almost every apartment had either a road or a park separating it from the beach, Milton expanded his search north and discovered the sought-after southern pocket of the Gold Coast.   "You're so protected from the winds of the Gold Coast, which makes beachfront living more attractive than some of the more northern suburbs."   Impressed with the floorplan size and boutique design with just 19 residences total, Milton knew PIPIS was the perfect fit.    "With less than 20 apartments, you're not going to be constantly sharing a lift, or sharing the pool. The team recently enjoyed a nice morning tea with our building contractor LPS Group and all of the subcontractors who have been a part of the progress of PIPIS to date. Celebrating the milestone of topping out the structure, which is a major achievement across the build of every development, everyone was able to enjoy some delicious food from the local Original Tugun Bakery and Haig Street Kirra Cafe and celebrate all of the hard work that they contributed over the last 12 months in construction.   The next few months will see our services, finishes and speciality trades inside the site completing the key interior activities required to get PIPIS finished and settled by early 2025.   Be sure to keep an eye out for our construction updates where you will get to see first-hand the progress taking place on-site. Over August, the team has been deep in the ground at Tapestry with the excavation of the site now passing our basement 2 depth and nearing our third and final level of the underground basement.   Over the last 4 weeks, the team have commenced and completed the installation of our level 2 bracing which supports our basement retention walls while approx. 2,000 tonnes of sand is being removed off-site daily. With the help of AB Cranes, the team very impressively loaded down 3 excavators and removed 2 mini-cranes from our basement excavation to complete the digging down to the Basement 3 level. Momentum and excitement on-site is building with us now only metres away from reaching the lowest level of resident car parking before we head skyward. Over the next month, our team will be focussed on: • Completion of the basement excavation including the detailed excavation of our lift pit and tower crane base. • Reinforcing and concrete installation for our lift pit and crane base. • Installation of our tower crane which is slated for mid-October. • Reinforcing and concreting of our 600mm thick raft slab in 2 separate pours in mid to late October. We are very excited to share these advancements with everyone over the next few months as we start to see all of the hard work in preparing our Tapestry basement come to life with visual progress.   With only a limited number of apartments still available, don't miss the final opportunity to secure one of these truly special residences on the exclusive Chevron Island.
