At TechForGood Australia | B Corp™, we believe that businesses can be a force for good. We have been a certified social enterprise for over 3 years, which has been instrumental in helping us expand our network, enhance our business practices, and ultimately, make a greater impact. Today is World Social Enterprise Day, which feels like a good time to celebrate what the estimated 12,000 social enterprises across Australia are achieving. According to Social Traders's latest sector report: 👩💼👨💼 Social enterprises create an estimated 89,000 jobs for people that would otherwise be shut out of work, 43% of jobs filled are by people facing barriers to employment, and they provide 906,000 hours of employability training every year. 💰 Annually, social enterprises generate $230.9 million towards providing community goods and services, and donate $33.7 million to charitable organisations. ♻️🌍 Social enterprises help to divert 1.2 million tonnes of waste from landfill each year. 📈 They generate 27% of total revenue – $5.7 billion annually – on social and environmental impact. 💼 Just half of the social enterprises in Australia alone contribute $16 billion to the economy. 🌟 Team Building Success! 🎉 🌟 What an unforgettable day we had at this month’s team-building event, hosted by the amazing Jasmin! We kicked things off by creating and sharing stories behind our masks, and it was a close contest between Migs and Sky for the best mask. But Sky’s DIY mask, complete with a handwritten "TechForGood" design, stole the show! 🏆✨ We also dove into a game of Two Truths and a Lie, where everyone had a blast trying to guess each other's truths and lies. 😂 So much laughter, bonding, and a reminder of how creative and fun our team truly is.
