About us

RMIT is collaborating with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and AARNet to be the first Australian university to implement a dedicated commercial cloud supercomputing facility – RACE Hub, enabling true scalable and elastic high-powered computing to support digital innovation. By combining the industry-leading cloud capabilities of AWS and the latest fibre network technologies from AARNet, RMIT is set to access tremendous connectivity and HPC processing power and provide seamless access to all our researchers, academics, students and industry partners. Our Vision To be the first Australian university to implement a dedicated Commercial Cloud Supercomputing facility to drive digital innovation. Our Mission To provide AWS-oriented services, training and expert support to enable RMIT staff to maximise the scientific return from the existing data and computing infrastructure.
