2024 ~ That's a Wrap! 👏 It's been an incredible year for Flight Centre Travel Group, here's but a few highlights of the wild ride 🎢 🛳️ The Cruise industry added $8.43 billion to the economy and supporting over 26,000 jobs. Our very own Cruiseabout Australia saw their 4th store open to meet the demand, and FCTG also acquired Cruise Club UK ✈️ Taylor Swift's Eras Tour in Australia didn't just deliver a stunning spectacle; it delivered massive travel demand. Stage and Screen Travel Australia analysis showed domestic flight bookings to Sydney jumping 88% during the tour, and Melbourne flight bookings spiking to 89%! 💥 The Luxury Travel Collection launched in January, setting new industry benchmarks in luxury travel. 🛒 Good, different - Ignite Travel Group partnered with ALDI Stores Australia to create Aldi Holidays! 🏆 Flight Centre Travel Group took out Award after Award - from Travel Associates Australia & New Zealand named "Travel Agency of the Year (Medium/Large scale), Rosalee Loxley taking out the 'Most Outstanding Travel Agency Manager' at the 2024 National Travel Industry Awards (NTIA), Talia Yat bestowed Women In Digital "Customer Experience Leader of the Year" award, and Flight Centre voted "Leading Travel Agency" at the World Travel Awards 2024, and so many more! 🌍 Independant brand Envoyage AU opened their first branded retail agencies! 🫶 Flight Centre Foundation once again showcasing our support for charities with the Giving Grants program. Flighties around Australia smashed the 'Boogie Wonderland' theme, the stellar talent lineup of Bag Raiders, Sneaky Sound System and Baker Boy. ⭐ Global Gathering Conference 2024, with its theme 'Be Brave' was held in Lisbon, Portugal a week later with 30% first timers celebrating their incredible achievements, and attendees from Australia, NZ, South Africa, UK, Europe, UAE, Asia and the Americas.
