    We’ve been busy making merry at our shopping centres! This festive season our shopping centres have gone all out to create unique and memorable experiences for our communities. From an enchanting Santa Arrival Parade at Indooroopilly Shopping Centre in Queensland, to the bespoke Christmas Tree baubles at QV Melborune in Victoria, and a Bluey Christmas at Botany Town Centre in Auckland, to name a few.     The student accommodation sector has grown rapidly over the past decade driven by a shift towards Purpose-Built Student Accommodation (PBSA) facilities, as students seek vibrant and connected housing options.    Portfolio Manager Brendan Pryke joined a panel at the Property Council of Australia’s State of the Sector – PBSA in Australia event to discuss how Dexus's broad capability enables us to deliver in this sector which blurs the line between real estate and infrastructure.     Brendan spoke to how Dexus has become one of the largest owners of on-campus PBSA in Australia, through an active management approach which creates a collegiate environment for students while closely partnering with universities to help them to deliver their accommodation strategies.      He also shared insights on our unique off-campus development, 41 George Street, a B-Grade office conversion to student accommodation in Brisbane's CBD which leverages our expertise in special situations investing, office development, and infrastructure to deliver 1,200 new beds.    Student Accommodation Council #stateofthesector2024 #studentaccommodation #growthmarkets #realassets

    We are excited to be giving 33 Alfred Street a new lease of life that will transform it into a modern, sustainable workplace. As Sydney’s first skyscraper, the new design stays true to its rich heritage, proudly showcasing its distinctive design features, including the golden façade. The project is in its final stages of its rejuvenation, with completion on track for mid-2025.     National Recycling Week is a great time to celebrate achievements across Dexus as we aim to increase reuse and recycling rates across our assets. This year, we’re thrilled to spotlight Waterfront Brisbane’s commitment to a circular economy!   Check out the impressive timelapse that showcases the careful deconstruction of the old Riverwalk and Eagle Street Pier. They successfully removed a substantial 31,580 tonnes of material from site, with over 98% being reused, recycled and diverted from landfill.   Waterfront Brisbane is proudly owned by Dexus and Dexus Wholesale Property Fund (DWPF).     We were pleased to host GRESB's Real Market Insights for Infrastructure event at our Sydney head office in Quay Quarter Tower. The event explored data-driven insights from the recently announced 2024 GRESB Benchmark Results, in which our funds and assets performed strongly: ◼️ Dexus Diversified Infrastructure Trust (DDIT) achieving an historic high score of 97/100 ranking 1st in the Oceania Diversified Private Equity Fund category ◼️ Powerco achieving a perfect score for a second consecutive year and sector leader in Electricity Distribution Companies ◼️ APAC, Powerco, Reliance Rail and ANU Student Accommodation all achieving 5-Star ratings   At the event, industry leaders tackled important questions on infrastructure’s role in key climate-related issues and how active asset management can improve environmental outcomes. Dexus General Manager, Social Infrastructure Trent Mikkonen joined a panel to discuss how embracing the circular economy can help make infrastructure assets more sustainable. Trent shared how Dexus is generating positive sustainability outcomes across its portfolio through diversion from landfill targets, material reuse and other key initiatives that also support emissions reduction and our sustainability priority area of climate action.    #infrastructure #sustainability #GRESB

With unrivalled connectivity to key freight links and their customers, this facility sets a new standard in logistics efficiency. The facility has incorporated 198kw solar panels to ensure the operational efficiency and support our customers sustainability goals.
