  • For many years, we’ve played a leading role in fostering growth and change for the commercial property industry in Australia – from participating in the most impactful industry organisations to ensuring we’re developing industry leaders from within.   This includes our long-standing membership of the Property Council of Australia, which enables us to guide and influence the future of our industry, while providing our people with unmatched opportunity to grow their industry exposure, deepen their professional networks and broaden their thinking.   As we head into 2025, which is set to be an inflection point for our industry, we’re pleased to have 39 Charter Hall people sitting on PCA Committees for the 2025-2027 term, with representation across the entire country and all our core sectors. Congratulations to our people on this recognition and thank you for actively contributing to the future growth and progress of our industry. See the full list here: https://lnkd.in/gszfNnGZ

  • Today, we announced that we've successfully executed a fully underwritten $3.35 billion of Green Loan facilities on behalf of our flagship office fund CPOF. This marks the completion of one of the largest Green Loan transactions in the Australian real estate sector. This strategic capital management initiative has enabled the Fund to leverage its market-leading sustainability credentials and implement a best-in-class finance platform providing significant financial and operating flexibility. Further, this transaction grows our platform-wide sustainable finance to more than $9 billion, 100% of which is in the Office sector, reflecting our continued progress toward integrating sustainability into our operating assets. • Last week marked another milestone in our national partnership with SSI as we hosted our second cohort of 30 candidates at Light Horse Logistics Hub, Eastern Creek in collaboration with construction partner Richard Crookes Constructions. The Charter Hall and SSI employment project connects contractors with unemployed local community members, including young people and migrants, to support them in pursuing training and employment opportunities in the construction industry. Five local community members from our first cohort were employed by our supply chain partners after training and with ongoing mentoring support. We look forward to continuing this impactful work and seeing more success stories emerge from our partnership.

  • Last night, we were delighted and surprised to be awarded Property Industry Foundation Champion Company for 2024. The award recognised the way our people showed up this year - consistently, in large numbers and with enthusiasm - for each of PIF's committees, projects and events.  Through its Haven House projects that provide homes for young people and its advocacy initiatives to create systemic change to address youth homelessness, PIF brings the property and construction sector together by providing us all with an opportunity to engage in a range of initiatives that are close to our hearts and our values. And in return, the longstanding partnership that we’ve established with PIF provides critical funding to help scale its operations and maximise its impact. As the only foundation created by the industry for the industry, PIF’s ability to make a meaningful impact is a reflection of the strength of the community behind it and our shared passion for paving the way to a better future for the next generation. Thank you to PIF for the recognition and, more importantly, for the incredible contribution you make to these young people’s lives. And thank you to all our people for playing your role in helping those in need, alongside our industry colleagues and supply chain partners. Read more about our partnership with PIF in our 2024 Sustainability Report: https://lnkd.in/gEKRdAWA

  • Yesterday at our AGM, David Clarke retired from the CHC Board. For the past 10 years, David has guided the Board and EXCO as we’ve driven significant growth for the Group, from $11.5 billion in FY14 to over $80 billion today, and his wise stewardship has benefitted our customers and securityholders, delivering solid results despite periods of volatility. With an eagerness to connect with our customers, David often spoke to both tenant and investor customers to hear from them directly on our strengths and opportunities for improvement. He’s also been a champion of our people and our culture, and is known within our offices for being collaborative, insightful, empowering and approachable. Thank you, David, for your great contribution to Charter Hall and for ensuring a smooth transition to our new Chair, Stephen Conry.

It was an pleasure to sit and speak on a panel with one of our key property partners, Charter Hall yesterday and talk about the future of retail property, how e-commerce is evolving, consumer attitudes and buying patterns of chicken among other topics. The conversation centered around how all this this will play out in the property space and impact their team of property managers as well as sustainability and what our businesses will look like in 5 years. Joined by Jon Savell from Woolworth's and Craig Woolford from MST Marquee, it was an enlightening conversation and we all learned a lot. Thanks to Liiza Theodore and Yvette Keatings for facilitating. #property #charterhall Inghams Group Limited Woolworths Group.

  • Last week, we hosted our second annual Alumni event. We loved bringing together the incredible network of people that we’ve developed over the years, catching up on each other’s news and reminiscing over shared memories.   Importantly, it was an opportunity to recognise and celebrate the impact that each of our alumni have had on who we, as a Group, are today.   Learn more about Charter Hall Alumni here: https://lnkd.in/g8huNgXt
