Perino 🍅 Tomatoes took centre stage at Coles Group head office atrium, served alongside Giorgio’s irresistible burrata and accompanied by the lively melodies of a talented accordion musician. Together, they transformed the atrium into a vibrant celebration of Italian summer. Today, we marked 15 fantastic years of partnership with Perino, exclusively at Coles, and unveiled our exciting new look and range - crafted to deliver flavour for every occasion. Perino embodies confidence, sophistication, and an unwavering passion for taste. For those who demand greatness, there’s only one choice: Perino, the best-tasting tomato. A huge thank you to Coles, our incredible partners at SGK, FlourishPR, and the wonderful team at Giorgio’s for their delectable burrata and support in making this event a success. We couldn’t be prouder of our refreshed brand positioning and are more confident than ever that we’re set for a flavourful future! The APEC Summit is a great place for PM Albanese to do some negotiating with other world leaders on export market access. Let’s hope resolving market access for certain fresh produce items into countries such as China and Japan might be on the menu. The last time APEC met in Peru, the then Peruvian PM took the opportunity to secure access for Peruvian grown blueberries into China.

What a great initiative and well worth supporting. I recently had the pleasure of visiting Corowa Primary School to see first hand their participation in the SAKGF program. The genuine passion and enthusiasm from teachers and students was seriously impressive, and even more so when I learned they had grown among other things, bananas and avocados!

Today, we launch our Food Education Drive (FED). A national fundraiser to generate awareness about the critical need to educate ALL Australian children about where their food comes from and how to develop practical skills to live healthy, resilient and happy lives. 👉 https://lnkd.in/geQdz2Um Why does food education matter? Children and young people are on track to live shorter lives than their parents. One in four children and young people are living with obesity and heightened risk of chronic disease, and almost 95% of Australian children aged 2-18 years are not meeting the daily recommended intake of vegetables*. When food education is a part of the school experience, it sets every child up on an even playing field. For 20 years, we have been fighting for the health and wellbeing of children and young people by delivering fun, hands-on and inclusive food education through our globally-recognised Kitchen Garden Program. 🍎 Over half our work supports children in remote or regional locations across Australia 🍎 The majority of our schools are in communities experiencing socio-educational barriers.  🍎 More than 1400 schools and services submitted grant applications to join the Kitchen Garden Program in 2024. 🍎 That’s roughly 274,000 students who are standing by to receive food education! Children who participate in our Kitchen Garden Program show: 🍎 An increased willingness to try new foods 🍎 Significant knowledge and skills in cooking and gardening 🍎 Essential skills turn fresh food into a nourishing meal to feed themselves and those around them. We’re calling on allies, advocates, educators, corporates, parents, chefs and passionate home cooks to donate today. Properly supported, we can expand our reach and impact even more Australian children and communities in need. Every donation counts 👉 https://lnkd.in/geQdz2Um *ARACY & UNICEF Australia Australia.
