Cbus Super has boosted investment in Fulcrum Media Finance since the Media Super merger. Fulcrum is a specialist finance company providing cash flow funding to enable the completion of film and TV productions in Australia & New Zealand. Our investment is by way of a revolving loan facility to Fulcrum to enable them to provide this crucial funding for these productions. The arrangement with Fulcrum commenced via Media Super in 2010 as a $30 million loan. Cbus Super, via its internal lending team rejuvenated the arrangement in early 2022 as part of the merger with Media Super. The funding provided by Cbus has increased over time. In an exciting development for all our members, we have increased our revolving loan to over $100 million recently, highlighting our continued support for the arrangement. The Bluey Movie will be Fulcrum’s biggest project to date. Read the relevant PDS and TMD to decide what’s right for you. Call 1300 361 784 or visit cbussuper.com.au https://lnkd.in/gKmeHpcf

Despite the weather having other plans and preventing us from celebrating at the top as originally intended, we’re thrilled to have recently marked the topping out of 205 North Quay – a premium A-grade commercial office tower in Brisbane’s CBD. With more than 40,000 square metres of office space, a wellness floor, an open-air public plaza, and a versatile auditorium, it is an exemplary workplace that builds on our reputation for exceptional developments. As with so many of our buildings, we designed 205 North Quay to achieve a 6 Star Green Star and 5.5 star NABERS rating. The completed building will be a benchmark for both economic and environmental sustainability in future workplaces. Thank you to Nielson Properties, Hutchinson Builders, Hassell, REX Architecture and Richards & Spence for their dedication and partnership during this project. We look forward to welcoming the employees of Services Australia to their new workplace in 2025. #cbusproperty #brisbaneproperty #propertyindustry #commercialproperty #toppingout #toppingoutceremony

Cbus Property was proud to light up our commercial investment portfolio across Australia in orange on 10 December 2024 to recognise and support the UN Women’s annual 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence campaign and the International Day For The Elimination Of Violence Against Women. 447 Collins Street (co-owned with ISPT); 720 Bourke Street, Melbourne; 311 and 313 Spencer Street, Melbourne; 171 Collins Street, Melbourne (co-owned with Charter Hall); 5 Martin Place, Sydney; 83 Pirie Street, Adelaide; 1 William Street, Brisbane (co-owned with ISPT); and 140 William Street, Perth, were lit up in solidarity with the cause. The initiative marked the conclusion of the worldwide campaign and Cbus Property’s third consecutive year of participation, as part of a global effort aiming to bring awareness to and take action against domestic, family and gendered violence, and the start of another 365 days of continued action. #cbusproperty #propertychampionsofchange #unwomen #unwomenaustralia #safeeverywherealways #domesticviolenceawareness #global #international #worldwide #campaign #365daysofaction #commercialproperty #investmentmanagement

Cbus is pleased to welcome back Jason O'Mara and to welcome Paddy Crumlin and Lucy Weber to our board as member directors. This comes as all existing and new directors on the Cbus Super board have satisfied an independent ‘fit and proper persons test’. Jason O’Mara has extensive experience in super fund governance, tax and financial reporting. Jason rejoins the Cbus board having previously served between January 2022 and August 2024. Before he was an advocate for workers’ entitlements, Jason was a commercial builder and is currently the General Manager of operations at the Canberra Tradesman Union Club. As a senior qualified lawyer, Lucy Weber brings extensive legal expertise and has over seventeen years’ experience practicing law in the private and not-for-profit sectors with comprehensive knowledge of insurance and industrial law. Lucy is currently the Director of Legal and Industrial programs in the national office of the CFMEU. In addition to his ongoing advocacy for working people, Paddy Crumlin has built up extensive skills and experience oversighting contemporary investment and asset management strategies of pension funds, ESG, responsible investment, and fund regulation. Paddy is currently the National President of the CFMEU. Maintaining equal employer and union representation has been central to our success over forty years so we’re happy to welcome Jason back and look forward to Lucy and Paddy bringing their knowledge of our sectors to achieve the best possible retirement outcomes and meet the challenges of rapid growth.
