Here’s how to keep your LVR in check and your costs down: 1️⃣ Save a Bigger Deposit The larger your deposit, the lower your LVR. Aim for below 80% to avoid Lender’s Mortgage Insurance (LMI) and unlock better interest rates. 2️⃣ Choose Properties That Hold Value Not all properties are created equal. Those with a track record of strong, consistent growth will provide some protection for your LVR.. 3️⃣ Leverage Rising Property Values If the market lifts your property’s value, ask for a valuation update.
