ActionAid's Katherine Tu was at the #ANZ shareholder meeting today, where she asked them about how they finance #FossilFuel companies, and the impact this has on women's rights. ANZ has given more financing to fossil fuel companies than any other Australian bank – since 2016 they have given $1.8 billion to Santos and Woodside alone, two companies which have rampant expansion plans that are significantly contributing to global warming. Aid workers are deeply concerned for women, people with disabilities and other vulnerable groups in Vanuatu, after a magnitude 7.3 earthquake hit Port Vila earlier this week. “Everyone has been affected. Three of us hid under the table as the earth shook violently underneath us. And when it was over, I went out front and I have never seen anything like this," Carol Angir from ActionAid Australia said. #Vanuatu #earthquake
