Christmas vibes, Refined-style 🌲✨ This year, we celebrated the season with an evening starting with a champagne tasting and dinner at San Greal in Malmö. Afterward, we brought the party back to our office, filled with fun, games, and a touch of competition. 🎁🎯 Highlights included a lively present game and our classic darts tournament where the ultimate champions were Tommy and Raj. We also had a 'Reflections on 2024 at Refined' box where people could submit their favourite moments of the year. 📝 From welcoming amazing new team members to smashing goals, and countless times we laughed the hardest together, these reflections captured everything we love about the culture we’ve created at Refined. This year, we've welcomed many new members who bring fresh perspectives. ✨ Today, we highlight Thomas and Samuel from our Product Design team. Their collaboration exemplifies the diversity of thought we celebrate. Tommy joined Refined over a year ago as a Senior Product Designer, while Sam came on board just three months ago as our Product Design Manager. Despite their short time working together, their collaboration has already made an impact. 💬 “A new perspective Sam has given me is the business impact design work can have. Instead of just solving a user's problem, I’ve learned to look deeper into the underlying needs behind it. It’s made it easier for me to prioritize what will benefit the user, product, and company in the long run,” Tommy shares. Sam is equally inspired by the team dynamic and the knowledge shared among new colleagues: 💬 "Every company has untapped knowledge that isn’t always documented. Working with Tommy and the rest of the team, I feel like I can always find the answers to anything I need. We have five designers from five nationalities, with completely different backgrounds and career tracks. Our team has grown rapidly over the past year, bringing in many new colleagues with fresh perspectives. ✨ Every new member adds unique insights, strengthening our collective expertise. Yuliya joined us in April as a Support Engineer, while Mahmud has been with Refined since May 2022 in the same role. In our Customer Support team, they manage the queue and help customers with dedication and skill. Refined has recently launched a new feature enabling you to create and promote events in your Refined Confluence site. Why is this cool? Well, although Confluence has functionality like calendars, there isn’t anything specific for events, so while you can create content about your events, it always feels a bit clunky, it's difficult to ensure consistency, etc. But this new feature from Refined enables you to create really nice event pages, and also a really nice event lander page. I can see this being really popular, especially for intranets where you want to publicise all the great events you have planned for your staff.
