Here’s a fun design fact: Colors are more than aesthetics — they help set the mood of your #JSM support site. 🌈 But using the wrong palette can frustrate your users. Clashing colors? Bad contrast? Say hello to a confusing site navigation. The good news is that it’s easier to avoid than you might think. Here’s a few quick tips: 🎨 Stick to a cohesive color scheme that reflects your brand and makes content easy to read. ✨ Use bold colors sparingly and to pull your users' attention to specific elements — like a search bar or button to submit a ticket. 🕶️ Keep #accessibility in mind! Use enough contrast between your color and text, and think about leveraging icons (instead of only colors and text) to help convey information on your site. 𝐃𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐠𝐧 𝐃𝐢𝐬𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫 I remember working on a project where I was obsessed with making the design pop. So, I started playing with bold, vibrant colors. The goal was to create something eye-catching. But when I stepped back to review the final result… let’s just say it was a disaster. The design looked messy—noisy, even. I had all the right elements—icons, fonts, and spacing—but the colors were competing with each other for attention. What was meant to be exciting felt overwhelming, and the message was completely lost. It taught me a valuable lesson: color is powerful, but too much of it can turn a good design into a confusing mess. The key is balance. A well-thought-out color scheme enhances the user experience, while too many shades can distract from the actual functionality of the product. It’s tempting to experiment and push boundaries with colors, but good design is about knowing when to hold back. Less can be more when colors are used with intention. Ever faced a design where the colors just didn’t work? How did you fix it? #design #uidesign #uxdesign #productdesign

🎨 To create an appealing and effective design, it's essential to understand the different icon styles and how they work. Icons play a crucial role in user interfaces, making navigation intuitive and enhancing the overall user experience. Here’s a quick overview of various icon styles: 1️⃣ Linear Icons: These are simple, clean, and minimalistic. They work well in modern, flat designs and are perfect for conveying straightforward information without visual clutter. 2️⃣ Bold Icons: These icons are thicker and more prominent, making them ideal for grabbing attention. They’re great for call-to-action buttons or highlighting important features. 3️⃣ Outline Icons: Similar to linear icons but with a bit more detail. They provide a sleek and polished look, often used in applications with a sophisticated design aesthetic. 4️⃣ Two-tone Icons: These icons use two colors to add depth and dimension, making them stand out more. They’re useful for adding a touch of creativity and emphasis to your design. 5️⃣ Bulk Icons: These are filled icons that provide a solid, bold appearance. They are excellent for dashboards and data-heavy interfaces where clarity and quick recognition are essential. So, which icon style do you use the most and why? Let me know in the comments! Your feedback helps us all learn and grow as designers. 🌟 #IconDesign #DesignTips #UIUXDesign #GraphicDesign #DesignInspiration #LinearIcons #BoldIcons #OutlineIcons #TwoToneIcons #BulkIcons #DesignCommunity

THE ESSENCE OF EVERY DESIGN The essence of a design is always to keep it simple, aesthetic and also readable. Simple, your design doesn't get so clustered with so many elements that it loses its main focus. Readable in the sense that when someone sees your design he or she doesn't find it hard to read the contents on the design. Aesthetic: it simply makes the design beautiful and appealing to human eyes. As a designer when you fail to keep your design simple, aesthetic and readable, your design then doesn't have an essence (purpose). These three things work hand in hand, when your design is not crafted with simplicity in mind it tends to take the viewer away from the main message or goal and also when a design lacks aesthetic, viewers wouldn't want to behold it and also when the contents on a design can't be read... The whole aim and essence of crafting that masterpiece has been in vain. Considering these three Essences, I crafted this design using my smartphone. What do you think? Ever been told, "Being a designer must be so easy—all you do is make pretty rectangles"? 😅 If only! There's a lot more to it than meets the eye. ~ Clients often have a vision that can be... interesting. Translating that vision into a functional, beautiful design is like solving a puzzle WITHOUT all the pieces. ~ Research, research, and some more research! ~ Just when you think you’ve nailed it, feedback rolls in, and it's back to the drawing board. (I have a love-hate relationship with the word "iteration") ~ Let's not forget the ultimate balancing act of creating aesthetically pleasing designs that are also usable and accessible The truth is, the stress is real, but so is the passion. We love what we do, and that's why we keep at it. But it’s important to remember that it's okay to take a break. Whenever I'm stuck on a problem or stressed out because of work, I take a long walk. Trust me, there’s almost no problem a good walk can’t solve. Do not underestimate the power of fresh air and a change of environment for creativity. Make it a practice to step away and take some time for yourself. Your best ideas often come when you least expect them (usually while you're out on that walk). What are your tips on dealing with stress? I would love to hear from you! #uxdesign #webdesign #TGIF #takeabreak

𝗪𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝗮 𝗯𝗮𝗱 𝗱𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻? 𝗛𝗲𝗿𝗲’𝘀 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗳𝗼𝗼𝗹𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗼𝗳 𝗴𝘂𝗶𝗱𝗲 ❗ Forget who’s using it. Skip the research, and design based on assumptions rather than real needs. ❗ Overcomplicate everything. Add unnecessary steps that are impossible to figure out. ❗ Fill every inch of space with elements, colors, and fonts. White space is overrated—more is more, right? ❗ Forget about functionality and focus only on aesthetics. If it looks good, who cares if it’s impossible to use? ❗ Ignore color contrast and font readability. After all, why should everyone be able to utilize and understand your design?
