Happy Holidays from the Pale blue dot team 🎄✨🎁 We love reflecting on our year and thought we’d share the lowdown of our 2024:  💸 8 new investments backing founders based in 🇺🇸, 🇬🇧, 🇩🇪, 🇸🇪 and 🇵🇹  👩  44.19% of all our portfolio companies have at least one female founder 🧑🏿🤝🧑🏻 1,200+ people attended the 3rd edition of The Drop 🌎 Launched our second €93M fund to invest in more pre-seed and seed founders in Europe and the US 💙 3 new members joined Pale blue dot’s team  🐑 1 team offsite spent cuddling sheep A big thank you to our superhero founders, our dedicated team and our amazing LPs. 4 tips to successfully build teams 🏗️🧑🏿🤝🧑🏻💡 Our General Partner Heidi Lindvall spoke at the Climate Pioneers Show, hosted by Cherry Swayne, about recruiting in early-stage companies. So great to see Phytoform's reprogramming of plants out in the wild! 🌱 🤖

The cat is out of the bag! Phytoform is pushing the boundaries of plant genetics, by building a first-of-its-kind AI multispecies genomic platform and demonstrating how we can use it to develop new crop traits! 🚀 This amazing work combines our foundation AI model and high throughput validation and opens up many possibilities for plant biotechnology. We show this with tuned gene activity for tomato drought tolerance! 🍅 Our scientific publication (link in the comments) is on BioRxiv now! This would not be possible without our amazing team 🦾 , most notably Sania Jevtic and Colleen Drapek leading the technology development. I also want to thank our supporters Amazon Web Services (AWS) and IRCAI for the #ComputeForClimateFellowship, #ManchesterPrize an initiative of Department for Science, Innovation and Technology and our trusted OligoPools supplier Twist Bioscience!
