Yesterday, our colleague Hedvig Axberg represented Cemvision at Ny Teknik's “33-listan” event, celebrating Sweden’s top innovation startups—where we were honored to be recognized for the second year in a row! 🎉 The cement industry is often labeled as “hard-to-abate,” but at Cemvision, we’re proving it "possible-to-abate". On the screen Hedvig showed videos of pre-cast production and concrete pouring in the UK, Sweden, and Poland, demonstrating our real-world impact. Interested in how we’re driving innovation and sustainability in the cement industry? Reach out—we’d love to share more!

Cemvision's CEO Oscar Hållén and Chief Commercial Officer Nicolas BEC attended Big 5 Global, the biggest event in the Middle East's construction industry, in Dubai to meet with existing and prospective customers on-site as Cemvision continues to expand. Nicolas also had the opportunity to present Cemvision to the Future Tech Summit, where he talked about our innovations, from binder chemistry to future-proofing cement raw materials, and how we are ramping up our market offering and, thereby, the possibilities of significantly reducing the built world's CO2 footprint already today.

🌍 Revolutionizing Cement for a Sustainable Future Cemvision is thrilled to be featured in the latest issue of Global Cement. Thank you Jacob Winskell for sitting down with us to discuss our journey toward transforming the cement industry. 🚀 With our Re-ment range of ultra-low-CO₂ alternative cement, we are tackling one of the world’s most significant climate challenges. Through electric heating innovations and leveraging industrial by-products, we’re reimagining cement production with up to 95% CO₂ reductions compared to traditional cement. In the article, our co-founder Claes Kollberg shares: ✅ How circular materials and electrification are reshaping cement production. ✅ Our unique products, Re-ment Rapid for early-strength applications and Re-ment Massive for general-purpose concrete. ✅ Our ambitious goal to scale globally, starting with 5Mt of production by 2030. Our amazing partners Peab, Swecem, Vattenfall, and LKAB all get a shout-out in the article, thanks for joining us in building a sustainable future, together, we are shaping a greener, scalable construction industry!

In a new column in Fast Company, Cemvision's CEO Oscar Hållén writes about the central role of cement in the green transition. There is no green future without green cement. Yet, as Oscar points out, fossil-intensive industrial technologies receive far heavier subsidies than their sustainable counterparts. Government fossil fuel subsidies also continue to dwarf private investments in climate tech: in 2023, global VC investment in climate tech was estimated at $50 billion—just 4% of direct fossil fuel subsidies. It's time to level the playing field and challenge the status quo bias in the world economy. According to the International Energy Agency (IEA), slow progress in updating industrial standards is a key factor delaying the decarbonization of cement production. This conservatism not only unfairly shields incumbents but hinders the market potential of cost-competitive, near-zero alternatives. Read the article here: https://lnkd.in/dFbKadZ2

Another great event in which we participated! Many thanks to EUROSLAG 2024 for hosting the 12th Euroslag Conference in Bilbao. It was inspiring to hear from various speakers about innovative solutions on the crucial topic "Slags for the Future... The future of the slags" Cemvision's Mats Åhlin had the opportunity to present our progress within this field alongside Swerim AB, continuing with engaging discussions during the coffee breaks. Next time, the conference will be in Lund, Sweden, hosted by Jernkontoret, Swerim, and Luleå University of Technology—hope to see you there! We’ll definitely be attending! Last Thursday, at Sweden's leading concrete event, "Betongdagen," in Stockholm, Cemvision proudly joined as one of the main sponsors, further strengthening our commitment to pioneering sustainable solutions in the cement industry. Our colleague jesper pettersson presented "Cemvision Re-ment: The world’s most resource-efficient cement," highlighting how our low-carbon technology can reshape the building sector’s environmental impact. Additionally, our co-founder Claes Kollberg participated in a discussion panel on "Alternative Binders—A progress report on advancements over the past year" alongside industry colleagues from Boliden, Heidelberg Materials Cement Sverige, Ridgehill Minerals AB and Swerock. It was inspiring to connect with industry leaders and exchange ideas on how innovative approaches can drive a sustainable future for construction. A special thanks to all participants for making this event impactful and to Svenska Betongföreningen for making it happen.
