Mediterranean Startup World Cup has concluded, and for one day, #Palermo truly became the innovation "caput mundi" at least for #Mediterranean area. We definitely (over)Delivered! and according to the whole participants we exceeded expectations. Let me summarize 5 key figures: 🕵 40 international investors 💰 Representing €10 billion in AUM 💡 27 startups, selected from more than 420 applications ⬆️ Up to €200 million in planned investments from the selected startups 👥 300 participants, compare to 150 "invite only" Thank you to everyone who supported us, trusted us, and in the end, forgave us for a few operational issues. Set in the stunning location of the #Port of Palermo, near the #cruise terminal, it provided a remarkable stage for showcasing the region’s innovative #ventures.
