  • Another year, another successful MAPIC for Eurocommercial! With the Palais des Festivals closing its doors on MAPIC 2024, Eurocommercial celebrated another productive event this year. With over 160 meetings at our stand and a cocktail party to welcome our partners, our leasing, marketing and technical teams have strengthened the relationships that will help us shape the future of retail.   • This morning Eurocommercial Properties N.V. published a solid set of results for the nine-month period ending 30 September 2024. Overall retail sales and footfall increased by 2.3% and 1.2% respectively across our 24 shopping centres, with most retail sectors continuing to show positive sales growth, in particular sport, health & beauty, books & toys, services and F&B. Like-for-like rental growth for the same period was 3.8% mainly due to rental indexation and higher turnover rent. 99% of rents for the first nine months of 2024 have already been collected, indicating that there continues to be a full pass through of indexation to our tenants who are generally trading well from an affordable rental base and a low OCR, which still averages only 9.8%. Our leasing teams continued to report steady leasing momentum, negotiating 264 lease renewals and relettings for the 12-month period ended 30 September 2024. These lease transactions achieved an overall positive rental uplift of 4.0% on top of indexation. Strong tenant demand and letting activity have also kept our overall vacancy level down at only 1.8%. Important merchandising projects have now been completed at Woluwe Shopping in Belgium and Carosello in Milan providing new full format stores for the Inditex Group brands and other major international retailers. Eurocommercial received two significant awards from EPRA (European Public Real Estate Association) for Best Practice Recommendations (BPR) and Sustainability Best Practice Recommendations (sBPR) and achieved a GRESB 5 Star Rating with its highest score to date for its outstanding ESG efforts. The Company has completed the refinancing of almost all its long-term loans maturing in 2025 and extension agreements for €315 million were closed in October with a further €63.3 million expected to be finalised before the end of the year. Assuming no major deterioration in the macro-economic environment, we expect a direct investment result for the full year 2024 at the upper end of the guidance range between €2.35 and €2.40 per share. #eurocommercial #shoppingcentres #retail #ESGawards

  • Eurocommercial Properties N.V. took part to "Investment in Retail Real Estate in Italy: the opportunities offered by listed companies" conference held at the Euronext Borsa Italiana headquarters in Piazza degli Affari, Milan. During the conference, Evert Jan Van Garderen, Roberto Fraticelli and Luca Lucaroni, respectively CEO, CFO and Investor Relations Director of Eurocommercial Properties N.V., presented the Company's latest operating and financial results to a group of investors and real estate players. The purpose of the conference, moderated by the Editor-in-Chief of Il Sole 24 Ore Paola Dezza and organized by Eurocommercial Properties N.V. and IGD SIIQ SPA with the collaboration of Intesa Sanpaolo, was to provide an update on the retail real estate sector in Italy, with a particular focus on the Italian listed Retail Real Estate players. Besides Eurocommercial Properties NV and IGD SIIQ,  Intesa Sanpaolo also took part to the conference and provided an overview of the consumption scenarios in Europe and Italy in particular and shared its vision on the Retail Listed Real Estate Sector.
