🏁 Max Verstappen Makes History in Las Vegas 🏆 Max Verstappen has secured his fourth consecutive Formula One World Championship, becoming one of only five drivers in history to achieve this feat. With a controlled fifth-place finish at the Las Vegas Grand Prix, the Oracle Red Bull Racing driver sealed the title with two races to spare, leaving his rival Lando Norris unable to challenge for the crown. This milestone places the 27-year-old Dutchman in elite company, alongside legends like Alain Prost and Sebastian Vettel, and just behind Juan Manuel Fangio (5), Lewis Hamilton (7), and Michael Schumacher (7) on the all-time list. Verstappen also joins Schumacher as one of the few drivers to win four consecutive titles, highlighting his remarkable dominance in the sport. Christian Horner, Oracle Red Bull Racing’s Team Principal, reflected on Verstappen’s exceptional season: "Max has been absolutely outstanding this year. With eight Grand Prix wins—more than double any other driver—his consistency and collaboration with the team have been nothing short of phenomenal.". Story for Press > https://win.gs/4fW2sTb

Brazillian ultrarunner Fernanda Maciel has just set a new Fastest Known Time (FKT) on Oceania's highest peak, Carstensz Pyramid, also known as Puncak Jaya, (4,484m), in Indonesia, completing the ascent and descent in an astounding 1 hour and 48 minutes. This achievement brings her closer to her goal of setting FKTs on the Seven Summits, with only Denali and Everest left. Maciel isn’t just breaking records—she’s making a difference. Formerly an environmental lawyer, she pairs each summit with impactful advocacy, from supporting local communities to collaborating with environmental organisations. Her record-breaking summits also spotlight fragile ecosystems and inspire collective action for sustainability. Her record-breaking times on five of the seven highest continental summits include: Aconcagua (South America) – 6,960m: 22h 52m (Feb 22, 2016) Kilimanjaro (Africa) – 5,895m: 10h 6m round trip (Sep 25, 2017) Elbrus (Europe) – 5,620m: 7h 40m (Apr 28, 2019) Vinson (Antarctica) – 4,892m: 9h 41m 38s (Dec 24, 2022) Carstensz Pyramid (Oceania) – 4,884m: 1h 48m (Oct 17, 2024) "Setting records is one part of my journey. My goal is to share the beauty and resilience of these environments, inspiring others to protect them," says Maciel, emphasising the deeper mission driving her success. Austrian wingsuit pilot Peter Salzmann has pushed the boundaries of human flight, unveiling a groundbreaking wingsuit foil at Switzerland’s Jungfrau mountain. Using this cutting-edge design, Salzmann achieved an engine-free flight lasting almost six minutes, covering 12.5 kilometers and descending 3,402 meters—a feat that set new world records for Longest BASE Flight Time, Furthest BASE Flight Distance, and Largest BASE Jump from launch to landing. Developed over three years, the foil underwent testing through six prototypes in partnership with Austrian wingsuit expert Andreas Podlipnik. Its aerodynamic enhancements nearly double the conventional wingsuit’s glide ratio, marking a significant leap in flight technology. "The wingsuit foil flight today was just like out of space. It was a really challenging flight; I had everything in this flight. It was a true challenge – it was super exhausting, but also the best feeling in between. All in all, I’m just super happy that everything went well like this, and I could manage the longest foil flight,” shared Salzmann. More for media > https://win.gs/4fjOzNG
