Sobre nosotros
ALEHOOP - Biorefineries for the valorisation of macroalgal residual biomass and legume processing by-products to obtain new protein value chains for high-value food and feed application. This project receives funding from #EU Research & Innovation Programme. Any related post reflect only the views of the project owner. ALEHOOP provides the demonstration at pilot scale of both sustainable macroalgae and legume-based biorefineries for the recovery of low-cost dietary proteins from alga-based and plant residual biomass and their validation to meet market requirements of consumers and industry in the food and feed sectors. In these sectors, consumers are demanding affordable functional natural proteins from alternative sources and industry is demanding low-cost bio-based protein formulations with better performance and higher sustainability.

Tomorrow, Circular Bio-based Europe Joint Undertaking (CBE JU) celebrates three years of driving green growth 👏 At ALEHOOP we want to join this celebration of this day, that marks three years since its establishment. Launched in 2021, CBE JU has been instrumental in advancing Europe’s bioeconomy, making it more competitive, circular, and collaborative. 🔬 ALEHOOP is proud to be a part of this transformative journey, funded under the visionary CBE JU framework. Our project addresses the urgent need for sustainable protein sources due to the rising global demand. 🌍 ALEHOOP is entering its final phase, validating alternative protein sources for food and feed applications. This step underscores the market readiness of these sustainable proteins, signaling a transformative shift in the protein supply chain. Thank you Circular Bio-based Europe Joint Undertaking (CBE JU) for your support! 💪 https://lnkd.in/dQYfWGCq
