Exploring the Art and Craft of Footwear Design: A Conversation with Designer Myriam Cordoba Growing up in Madrid, Spain, Myriam Córdoba always had a passion for creativity. Her journey to becoming a designer has been quite an adventure. Leaving Spain at a young age to chase her dream of building a creative career, she ended up in Paris, where she completed a master’s in visual communication and art direction. She explored various fields including architecture, product design, advertising, video games, and book illustration. Each step taught her something new and shaped her approach to design. Starting her career in the footwear industry, she discovered her passion for CMF (Color, Material, Finish) Design. Now, blending all those experiences, she works as a CMF designer in the Alps, bringing a unique perspective to her role. His journey into ski design began early, inspired by watching his parents draw and paint. Since 2017, the Italian NGO InYourShoes.eu, founded by Francisco Grimaldi, has been delivering running shoes to future champions in Iten, Kenya. For them, a simple pair of shoes is more than just a training tool — it has the power to transform lives and entire communities. "I'm training to get a scholarship in the US (...), so one day I can support my family at home, and also help some young athletes in Kenya." said Stellah, one of InYourShoes recipients. From 44 pairs donated seven years ago to 1,000 this year, over 300 pairs have been delivered by the Salomon Foundation and Salomon Italia.
