Congratulations to Mike Rovers on his 25th work anniversary! Mike started with Troy Life & Fire Safety as a junior #firealarm systems designer. With 25 years under his belt, he continuously demonstrates his technical skills and expertise as one of our top fire alarm designer/alarm system technicians. Mike’s positive impact is far-reaching. He provides ongoing technical support to all branches and has been integral to growing the Troy crew as a training specialist who mentors new team members. As someone who openly offers support and #fireprotection knowledge to everyone he works with, we are proud to have Mike as a long-term Troy employee. We look forward to many more years enjoying Mike’s team approach!

At Troy Life & Fire Safety, we pride ourselves on our own commitment to in-house training. Last week, at our new Owen Sound facility, students attended a training session on Edwards Safety FireWorks Incident Management Platform, a graphical user interface that provides monitoring and controlling of life safety network information. FireWorks effectively integrates EST3 and EST4 network systems providing a comprehensive life safety solution. As #fireprotection equipment continues to evolve, training sessions like this assure our Troy team is always up to speed on all the latest developments.

We look forward to reading the new issue, featuring Lorna McSheffrey's updates from the CFAA Atlantic Chapter.
Our last edition of the 2024 CFAA Journal is hot off the press! As we close out the year, our Marketing & Communications Chair Tim Renaud's message talks about the launch of the CFAA Technicians Podcast this year - one podcast every two weeks where we talk about our Canadian fire alarm industry there is plenty more lined up for 2025! We also have an article on performance vs. prescriptive-based criteria in building design and the impact on fire alarm systems by Steven Forrester, along with an introduction to troubleshooting of fire alarm system systems article by Thomas Richards. Thank you for your continued support of the CFAA! https://lnkd.in/ge_Q-pVM

Congratulations to Curtis Taylor for 25 years with Troy Life & Fire Safety! Curtis started his career with Troy as a fire extinguisher trainee and didn’t look back. He has always provided enthusiastic and rock-solid service in northern Ontario, and was key to establishing our thriving fire extinguisher business there. It’s not just his colleagues who are fond of Curtis – we constantly hear from our customers that he is a welcome face. Curtis has a passion for #firesafety, and life safety in general – his dedication to his profession can be seen in everything he does. Thank you, Curtis, for your tireless commitment to safety, to your work, and to the Troy team.

The #Calgary chapter of the Electrical Contractors Association of Alberta (ECAA) launched their holiday festivities with a Christmas Gala last weekend, and Troy Life & Fire Safety was happy to both sponsor and participate in the revelry! It was great night to celebrate the season and have an opportunity to network with our many partners in the local #construction industry. The evening also allowed us to give back to the community as proceeds from the event were donated to the Calgary Food Bank. Thanks to the ECAA Calgary for your incredible hospitality and #happyholidays!
