  • 🎉✨ We had an amazing time at our Street Haven Holiday Staff Appreciation Party! The celebration kicked off with a Favorite Ugly Sweater competition, where staff voted for the best (or worst!) sweater, and the winner walked away with a festive prize! Next up was a Secret Gift Exchange filled with surprises and smiles, followed by heartwarming holiday carol singing led by our incredible staff and clients. 🎶 A huge thank you to everyone who participated and made the event so joyful. Moments like these remind us how special the Street Haven community truly is. ❤️ #HolidayCelebration #StaffAppreciation #FestiveFun #StreetHaven

  • 🌟 This Giving Tuesday, Hear from Veronica and Give the Gift of Hope 🌟 When Veronica first arrived in Canada, she felt lost and alone. But through the care and programs at Street Haven, she found more than just shelter—she found a community that uplifted her, empowered her, and gave her the tools to rebuild her life. From job training to mental health resources and warm, nutritious meals, the support Veronica received helped her regain her confidence and take steps toward independence. Her story is a powerful reminder of the difference we can make together. This Giving Tuesday, let’s stand together to create change and empower more women to transform their lives. Together, we can make hope possible. 💕 Donate here: https://lnkd.in/e7tA2pVQ #GivingTuesday #SupportWomen #StreetHaven #ChangeLives

  • Today on National Housing Day, as co-chair of the Ontario Women’s Coalition of Shelter and Supportive Housing Care Providers, Street Haven proudly organized this important event at Queen’s Park. The day began with a press conference highlighting the critical need for increased investments in affordable and supportive housing for women. Following this, we joined in the gallery for the Question Period, where the Opposition Party raised key housing issues. Attendees then participated in a Lunch and Learn session led by advocacy expert Kim Wright, offering valuable strategies for effective housing policy advocacy. Throughout the day, we stood alongside supportive and affordable housing organizations, shelters, homelessness advocacy groups, and community activists, reaffirming that housing is a fundamental human right. A special thank you to MPP Kristyn Wong-Tam, their team, and fellow MPPs for hosting us, and to our coalition partners for their dedication. Together, we remain committed to bold actions and meaningful investments to address the housing crisis in Ontario. #NationalHousingDay #AffordableHousing #SupportiveCareHousing #HousingFirst
