  • Our sincere thanks to the nearly 1,000 residents who participated in the initial phase of the Brantford 2050 Vision engagement campaign. Building on the feedback we received to date, we invite the community to participate in a follow-up survey to help further shape the City’s 2050 vision. Participation is open to all residents and business owners in Brantford. The survey will take about 15 minutes to complete and asks participants to share their opinions about Brantford’s future in business and industry; climate and sustainability; fostering a welcoming and diverse community; transit and infrastructure; tourism, sport, and culture; and supporting our most vulnerable citizens. To participate in the survey, please visit www.Brantford2050.ca. Read full media release here: https://lnkd.in/g--Apnre #Brantford | #Brantford2050

  • The Human Resources Department recently brought warmth and generosity to the workplace by hosting a bake sale in support of Brant United Way. Staff from across the organization came together to enjoy a wide variety of homemade baked goods. The event was not only a celebration of culinary creativity, but a testament to the spirit of giving within our organization.   Thanks to the incredible support and generosity of City of Brantford staff and elected officials, the bake sale raised an impressive $1,000 for the Brant United Way. These funds will go a long way in supporting the vital programs and services that the United Way provides, including programs that help families in need, initiatives that promote mental health, youth empowerment, and access to essential resources.

  • The City of Brantford recognizes the importance of involving citizens in the development of City policies, programs and services and are committed to ensuring there is a range of opportunities for the community to provide input on issues that matter to them most. Today, we’re excited to launch a new Community Engagement Campaign designed to gather feedback from residents on how they want to be involved in important City decisions, particularly regarding the future of City-owned assets. The information we gather will inform an update to the City’s current Community Involvement Framework with the goal of doing a better job reaching our residents and ensuring you’re aware of how to share your input on issues you care about. Whether it’s improving parks, enhancing infrastructure, or shaping key policies, your input is essential to creating a stronger, more inclusive community. Running until February 28, 2025, the campaign includes a range of diverse engagement opportunities such as surveys, public forums, and in-person events. Residents will have the chance to provide input at popular community events, City-hosted programs, and three dedicated public consultation meetings in January and February 2025. Key components of the campaign include: ✅ Surveys and Online Engagement whereby residents can provide input through the City’s Let’s Talk Brantford engagement portal. ✅ Public Engagement booths at events including Brantford Bulldogs home games and public skates at the Wayne Gretzky Sports Centre. ✅ Public Consultation Meetings scheduled for January 18, January 30, and February 13. Residents are encouraged to participate in the campaign by attending events, completing the survey, and sharing their ideas. For more information, visit Let’s Talk Brantford.
