On this #WorldBrailleDay, we are inspired by Dr. Ahuja’s story of how a simple, inclusive innovation in learning materials can spark profound connections. Her work to create accessible storybooks — with Braille text, adaptive colors, and thoughtful design — shows us that education thrives when it embraces diversity and welcomes every child. Let’s celebrate difference, diversity, and the power of inclusion in making classrooms truly universal. Poems have always been a wonderful way to capture children’s attention. At Pratham, we encourage mothers to actively engage with their children through poems, songs, and other fun activities that make learning an enjoyable journey. This is made possible through Mothers' Groups, where mothers from neighbourhoods come together to share ideas, learn new ways to build foundational skills, and empower each other. Led by a mother leader and supported by digital resources, these groups create a collaborative space for mothers to actively participate in their children's early development. . . . . #learning #mothers #poems #prathameducationfoundation #ngo #grouplearning

Pratham's Second Chance program enables girls and women who dropped out of school to complete Grade 10, opening gateways for them to lifelong learning and earning opportunities. In 2023-24, the program expanded to new geographies and added two new states to Karnataka and Tamil Nadu. The program also launched a virtual cohort in a self-paced remote model. A central team was established to guide learners toward higher education, jobs, or vocational training after completing Grade 10. Pratham is also developing a digital learning platform in eight regional languages, focusing on education, life skills, and employability, to scale the program and strengthen partnerships with rural women’s networks. . . . . . #throwback #learning #ngo #2024 #newyears #2025 #yearend #prathameducationfoundation

ENABLE (Equity in Accessing Numeracy and Basic Literacy Education) is a key initiative of Pratham, in collaboration with USAID, to strengthen inclusive care and education, with a focus on children with disabilities. In partnership with state or district governments, we set up four Inclusive Action Centres (IACs) in locations in Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra, which act as model resource centres for inclusive care and education. Under the program 'Inclusive Futures,' a week-long campaign was held in Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh. It began on the International Day of Persons with Disabilities (December 3) and concluded on Human Rights Day (December 10). It spotlighted inclusivity in key areas such as childhood, family, care, classrooms, WaSH practices, communities, and rights. . . . . #throwback #learning #2024 #ngo #prathameducationfoundation #yearend #newyear #2025

Pratham leverages innovative technology and digital content to enhance learning beyond basics and foster a community-wide learning environment for children. The program focuses on creating tech-enabled solutions to prepare children and youth for school, work, and life. Through Creativity Clubs, we engage with children (10–14 years) to develop their creativity, communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills. This year, Pratham also dabbled in AI. We tested and launched a ChatGPT-powered chatbot offering personalised, on-demand support for early childhood care and education. . . . . #digital #throwback #2024 #learning #prathameducationfoundation #ngo

Pratham’s Science Learning program is designed to bridge the gap between children’s curiosity about scientific concepts and the resources available to them by providing a platform for ‘learning by doing’. Pratham conducts thematic science workshops in upper primary schools, fostering hands-on learning. Science activities are also conducted in communities with the support of local volunteers to evoke a sense of scientific curiosity in children and the community at large. Pratham’s Science Centres offer diverse activities and also organise visits for schools, NGOs, and educational institutions. . . . . #learning #throwback #2024 #ngo #prathameducationfoundation #yearend
