In India, internal migration, affects over 100 million people annually, often disrupts lives—especially for #children who are forced to follow their #families during #distressedseasonalmigration. This leaves them excluded from formal schooling, robbing them of vital learning opportunities and a stable future. But here’s where AIF’s Learning and Migration Program (#LAMP) steps in—rewriting the story, ensuring that every child’s right to quality education remains uncompromised, no matter where they go. With innovative solutions like Learning Resource Centers and teacher empowerment, LAMP is tackling these barriers head-on. Thanks to HDFC Bank Parivartan’s support, the award-winning Learning Continuum Program has reached 813,263 students, empowered 17,780 teachers, and improved learning outcomes by 2.1x in the remotest corners of #Odisha and #Jharkhand. Imagine losing your livelihood overnight. For India’s 1 crore street vendors, this was their pandemic reality—financial insecurity, harassment, and uncertainty, threatening their survival, despite contributing significantly to the country's GDP - over 63% . Enter Project Entre-Prerana, a lifeline for street vendors through AIFT’s Market Aligned Skills Training (MAST) program. Spanning 61 cities across 18 states, the initiative has impacted 824,308 vendors, facilitating 340,601 loans through #PMSVANidhi and connecting nearly 85% of vendors to digital tools and 90% to delivery services. The impact is undeniable: a 42% rise in sales, 92% reporting  increased daily earnings and a significant drop in vendors earning less than ₹1,00,000 annually. But these numbers showcase more than just economic success; they represent stories of hope reclaimed and dignity restored. By enhancing incomes, improving living standards, and reinstituting agency, Entre-Prerana has revitalized livelihoods and rewritten the future for millions of India’s unsung heroes who were once vulnerable to systemic neglect. When teachers grow, students flourish. At American India Foundation, we are turning this belief into action through our #DigitalEqualizer’s Project #STEMpowering, in collaboration with Covestro India. Recently, we hosted an incredible two-day Headmasters & Teachers' #Training in #Ghaziabad, #UttarPradesh, aimed at empowering educators & enhancing their capacity. With 30 teachers and principals in attendance, the event focused on equipping educators with effective methodologies to seamlessly integrate #technology into classrooms, advance #STEMeducation, and foster 21st-century skills like critical thinking, collaboration, and problem-solving. The event also welcomed the esteemed Mr. Dharmendra Sharma, District Inspector of Schools (#Ghaziabad). Educators explored dynamic teaching methods like the Digital Equalizer Way of Teaching (#DEWoT), flipped classrooms (learn at home, apply in class), and #Edukit—a digital resource for #STEM learning materials.
