At Women's Affordable Housing Network (WAHN), we could not do what we do without the support of men in our industry who believe in our mission and vision and want to help us grow. Today, we recognize and celebrate the rich cultures, histories, and contributions of Indigenous peoples across the country. Indigenous People's Day is an opportunity to honor the strength, resilience, and wisdom of Native communities, while also acknowledging the injustices they have faced and continue to confront. At WAHN, we are committed to advocating for equitable opportunities for all, and this includes addressing the unique housing challenges many Indigenous communities face. As we work to advance affordable housing, we recognize the importance of listening to Indigenous voices, honoring their land stewardship, and supporting efforts to create safe, sustainable, and culturally appropriate housing.
