Starbucks Workers United initiated a multi-day strike with pickets in Los Angeles, Seattle and Chicago on Friday. The union said strike actions will spread to other cities until Christmas Eve, potentially hitting hundreds of stores. In a year as strange as 2024, some brands emerged as clear winners, particularly fast casuals and QSRs that found a way to capitalize on menu trends and value, like Chipotle and Taco Bell.
