Apartment amenity fads will come and go. Owners and developers who hedge their bets on an amenity that’s buzzy today could find themselves with something irrelevant in just a few years. But smart apartment technology stands out as an addition that doesn’t just make luxury apartments more attractive today — it keeps them relevant for years to come. Level M’s Ned Murphy spoke with Philip Russo for Commercial Observer about the role of smart tech in the Class A race to close deals. Read it here 👉 https://lnkd.in/e7izBzjg

Did you know that managed WiFi is only one of many ways to connect smart apartment technology? In fact, WiFi isn’t actually the most cost-effective or reliable connectivity method for every building in your portfolio. Take retrofits for example: It can be cost-prohibitive to upgrade the broadband infrastructure in an existing building. Watch as Level M’s Ned Murphy busts the myth that you must invest in #ManagedWiFi in order to take advantage of smart apartment technology. 📹: Nate Smoyer's Tech Nest: The Proptech Podcast

There’s a common misconception in multifamily that you need managed WiFi to take advantage of smart technology. But that’s not true. You need connectivity. And there’s a significant difference between the two. In this week’s Multifamily Perspectives newsletter, we explore why it’s worth decoupling a decision to invest in managed WiFi from a decision to invest in smart apartment technology. #Multifamily #ManagedWiFi #SmartApartments

Fact: The average apartment community experiences 4 leak events per year, causing ~$48,000 annually in damage. That’s a big expense to budget for — not to mention the potential increase to your insurance premium. Cortney Doss's story below goes to show how smart apartment technology like leak sensors can dramatically reduce operating expenses by preventing a minor issue from becoming a major hassle. Thanks for sharing, Cortney! With Level M, you can reduce the frequency and severity of leak incidents to cut costs by 33%. That equates to more than $15,000 in annual savings at the average community. #Multifamily #SmartApartments
Short Story time 🙌🏼 We had a unit here at Cyan that had a leak from an upstairs water heater that could’ve made a terrible impact on the upstairs and downstairs unit but because we have Level leak detectors that were recently installed , we were notified as well as the resident! This could’ve been a disaster of a situation that would’ve caused high expense, time and negative retention. Having Level at Cyan has been seamless and convenient!!! Thanks to Cox for the collaboration and team Level for your efforts 😌 #levelup Matt Passalacqua Noah Ghebrecristos Carol Tapia Uriel Murillo
