Celebrating Bill of Rights Day. Although it is not a national holiday, it is nevertheless an important day of remembrance in celebration of the first 10 amendments to the U. S. Constitution, which spell out our rights as Americans. It guarantees civil rights and liberties such as freedom of speech, press, and religion and the right of private citizens to keep and bear arms. It sets rules for due process of law and reserves all powers not specifically delegated to the federal government to the people or the states.
